Sounds like somebody doesn't have a sense of humor. For the humor deprived, that's a joke

The best venues I've ever seen him at would at college campuses (both indoors and out) prior to the Parrothead phenomenon taking hold. No props, no drunken idiots screamin' the wrong lyrics in your ear, just the music with none of the trappings that so often detract from his shows these days.

I hope you're wrong Captain....but how about this....an intimate night with Jimmy at Miegs Field in Chicago on the 'coast' of Lake Michigan.
And tickets go on sale to BNer's before released to Ticketbastard?

that would be a great venue. Lights of the city on one side, boats all around, plenty of room... not bad at all.

you had a great idea to that point... I would imagine they'd be $100+. Richard II would have his hands out at all levels.

Midnight Flyer is correct. Irvine Meadows now known as Verizon
Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA is IMHO the best tailgate scene, and a great venue to see Jimmy and the Reefers.

You missed the sarcasm their R2...but you're right- those tickets would be near impossible to get...probably a 'benefit' pricing schedule. If Wrigley nosebleeds were $90, I couldn't imagine what those would be.
Hell, I'd settle for a cover band at that location!

Alpine has my vote. I've gone up there for 3-4 shows and am always impressed. It is in Wisconsin though.

I did. I was caught up in imagining being out on the island. But heck yes, put the Boat Drunks and Don Middlebrook out there with that as a backdrop. Incredible. :)
