I luuuuuuuuuuuuuuv craigslist!!! I surf it for hours just looking at all sorts of random things. I kind of want a spare couch and am trying to pick up one off people that just want to ditch their nice furniture instead of moving it.
It's the best!!!! I got a brand new tub/potty/sink/shower base off craigslist for 1/2 of what it costs at Home Depot or Lowes.
it's also rad for a ticket forum. I got Jets tix there a couple of years back and Rangers ones too.

What's odd is that there is no Ikea here - something that would do amazingly well. I guess they haven't figured out how to make it work. They'd need a huge warehouse, and even then it'd be a headache.

I can't figure out if Ikea is cool or not. I mean, some of the stuff seems nifty, but is it crap?

you sound so Martha Stewart meets Bob Villa. Hey when can you come and decorate my apartment? I'm going for the refined single bachelor look, with a little bit of College fun.

It's disposable. In a city of temporary housing and transient residents, their furniture would definitely work well. Their loss.

I have a dresser at my house in Philly and it's literally falling apart, but I've beat it up for over 10 years. I'd say that Ikea crap lasts about 3 years before it needs replacing.

Ok. But the decorating budget is going to be something like While You Were out since I'm spending all my dollars in other ways.

there's 2, but no one in NYC has a car. There's one on Long Island and another in Jersey. The other thing is, that their stuff, even though it's not assembled, is heavy because it's all glued flakeboard and partical board so even if you got there by bus or whatever you're not going to lug a big box with a shelf or nightstand around the city.

Crack Hos can't be that expensive, can they? It's not like there is a dearth of them in the NYC market or anything..

Yeah, I know what it's like to transport Ikea stuff to/from the suburbs. :-?

But, I do have my own car and no matter the trouble, Ikea is so awesome that it's worth it!!! :D
