We saw them for the first time last weekend. Great band! Had a blast! I ended up with some bruises that I was unable to account for. (My hubby says they were from dancing around a square pole! :-? (that does not make me a pole dancer!)...What I remember was great!

They usually play the Meeting of the Mindless Phundraiser the night before the Alpine concert. It was listed on their 2004 Tour Tshirt. :)

The Boat Drunks are a great band. They have played at Alpine at our Meeting of the Mindless charity events and they were at MOTM this year. I love their cd and they are really nice guys.

KD Moore references Jimmy in a number of his songs.

One of the songs on the new CD is:

Jimmy....Say It 'Aint So

is written to Jimmy, and has Fingers playing harmonica throughout the song. Fingers does a spoken part about Jimmy at the end of the song

I Remember it like yesterday, left Miami for the Keys
it was my first time on a sailboat, first time upon the seas
When cutting through the salt air came dancing on the breeze
the damndest harp I'd ever heard, and it put my nerves at ease

Jimmy say it aint so,
I need to know
for over twenty years now I've come to hear him blow
and Jimmy, if it's so,
there's something you should know
without Fingers, it aint my kind of show

I've sat in deep reflection, off the coast of marseilles
and when this pirate looked at forty, I still loved to hear him play
his haunting sounds of distant travels, found their way into my soul
a neverending comfort, when life would take it's toll.

So Jimmy say it aint so,
I need to know
for over twenty years now I've come to hear him blow
and Jimmy, if it's so,
there's something you should know
without Fingers, it aint my kind of show

Now Jimmy, don't get me wrong
I'm a big fan fan of your crazy Island Songs
Guess I hope the story ends,
with you and Fingers, back on stage again

I Remember it like yesterday,
came dancing on the breeze
the damndest harp I'd ever heard,
still puts my nerves at ease

Blow….Fingers blow

You can sample it at http://cdbaby.com/cd/kdmoore3
Not only does it sound bad (karaoke-like) but in my opinion the fact that Fingers would appear on such a song is kinda strange.
He's been out of the band for 5 or 6 years.

The new CD: "Kickin' It Island Style" is $10 on KD's website

http://www.kdmoorejr.com/Index.html

It is worth the money just to hear Fingers on most of the songs, but KD is a fine singer/songwriter.
