Didn't the singer from The Cult tour with what's The (Jim Morrison-less) Doors a few years ago?

I've already seen Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes
I saw them a few times in the past. Great show but it's been a long time.
I saw them at BB Kings last month, they kicked ass.

Johnny Lang
He opened for The Rolling Stones when they played the Roseland Ballroom back in (I think) 2002. He did about 5 or 6 songs, then looked out at the audience and said "We're gonna do one more. Thanks for putting up with us." The kid can play.

Yes, he did. I believe the name of the group started as The Doors but due to lawsuits from non-participating member John Densmore, they had to change it to 21st Century Doors. I think he continued to try to shut them down altogether as a group and finally succeeded, which I'm guessing is what led to Ian Astbury reforming The Cult. I saw that Doors Storytellers special on VH1 a few years ago where the surviving members were fronted by several different vocalists such as the guy from Creed, Weiland, Ian Astbury, Travis Meeks from Days of the New, etc. I thought Travis did the best job of all but I still say Eddie Vedder sitting in for Jim during their induction into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame several years back was the best post-Morrison Doors performance I've ever seen.

You laugh, I saw Yanni at the Mann Music Center, which was a beautiful concert, and there were a whole bunch of us before the show that had sandwiches out in the parking lot.

Granted, it was not even close to a Buffett tailgate, but it was fun.
:)

I don't even know who you are any more. If I had the choice between seeing Yanni and punching myself in the face until I was legally blind I'd choose the latter.
