If it makes you feel better, I've also been known to be the only female in a mosh pit, too :) (but not at yanni, of course)

are you kiddding. There would definitely be more than one person in the mosh pit at Yanni - they're all trying to knock themselves out too. and typically so, most are ladies.

You're husband is a smart man.

What do you think a Yanni tailgate party would look like?? :-?

I'm in... :D
Triscuits and zinfandel, IMHO ...
Dry Triscuits and White Zin... can't get too much flavour. It would overshadow the music... :D
You laugh, I saw Yanni at the Mann Music Center, which was a beautiful concert, and there were a whole bunch of us before the show that had sandwiches out in the parking lot.

Granted, it was not even close to a Buffett tailgate, but it was fun.
:)
We saw Yanni at the Verizon a couple of times and both times it was the best sounding concert I've ever been to. Yanni doesn't need to blast the music out the back of the building. Very interesting crowd... more limos than I've ever seen here, carrying loads of MA Greeks who get up and dance in their seats (security kept them out of the aisles). The bar across the street was VERY LOUD before and after - the Ouzo was flowing!

Not necessarily recently, but Lords of Acid, White Zombie, Korn, Twiztid, Insane Clown Posse, Cypress Hill, and I'm sure a couple of others I'm not remembering right now. Only saw Lords of Acid once, but I've seen the others multiple times each. ICP is by far the most violent out of all of the ones I've seen.
