We are two 30 something year old Midwesterners going to Scottsdale to visit family next week.
We're planning on taking a 3 day get away for Valentines to break up the family visit.
Which would be the most interesting destination for a three day side trip from Phoenix to have some PH phun?
San Diego?
LA?
Sedona/the Grand Canyon?
i know Vegas is an option, too...Not really into the glitz n glamour thing, though...
Any other ideas within 5-6 hours of Phoenix?
Thanks!

Sedona is one of my favorite places......don't know exactly what you're looking for, but there are some world class spas in Sedona....a nice, romantic spa day in a magical place like Sedona.....hmmmm.....

Thanks, everyone.
I think Sedona makes the mosts sense.
Has anyone stayed at the Amara Creek resort? Looks nice from the photos online.

I used to live in Flagstaff so if you are interested in what to do in the Sedona/Flagstaff area, PM me and I'll give you the scoop.

Thanks, everyone.
We had a great trip. Four days in Scottsdale, a stop in Sedona, a stop in Flagstaff for lunch, a night at the Grand Canyon and two nights at the Venetian in Las Vegas.
My fiancee loved the trip. Sedona is such a beautiful place and the Grand Canyon is one of the most awe inspiring places I've ever been. We had a great lunch outside at a microbrewery in Flagstaff.
And Vegas is so much more than gambling...It is like Disney World for grown ups.
We had a great trip. We hope we can make it to Vegas should Jimmy play there again as he did last October!
