I don't seem to be able to hang on to two of anything. I got two new pairs of gloves a month or so ago and have one of each left. I have about 10 gold single earrings, since I lost the mates. I only have two actual pairs of earrings left--which I now "save" for special occasions! In fact the last time I wore my "really" good ones, we had to go back to the restaurant and find one (luckily someone had found it and gave it to the hostess). And then there're socks-- I had to wear my boots yesterday cause I could only find a pink pair. I'm starting to call them matches if they're close to the same color--let ALONE an actual pair! Just venting.

I know peeps that deliberately don't wear matching socks.

Of course they're hobos and don't have many other options.

I found that to solve this problem... I minimized my life. I have one pair of earings that I just don't take off... only wear socks when I wear sneaks... and then borrow hubbys... and if I put away laundry and am missing one of his socks... I leave it on the dryer until the next load... if its not there... it goes in the garbage!

That's what you get for not checking the pillows before you leave the guys' house.

I always can find two matched socks, because I don't go by color. I go by thickness.

Since you mentioned pink socks, I'm assuming you're a woman. Which is a good thing because if you were a guy I'd hate to see what you'd lose the next time you went to the bathroom.

One day last year I went through a whole drawer of socks looking for a pair of matching white crew socks. We ended up dumping the whole drawer into the ragbox and buying the jumbo pack of 24 pairs of white socks. Since it's the only kind we own now, we can't help but find a matching pair. (Yeah, I know it's weird--we share socks.)

Trust me, if my husband and I could get away with it, we would do the same thing. His socks fall off my feet, though.

Welcome to my world. It's a wonder I can even get myself dressed in the morning, not to mention my 2 kiddos.

I had a similar sock issue the other day and had to wear brown boots with a black outfit.

My ears aren't pierced so I don't have to worry about losing those.

I'll wear my boyfriends crew socks w/ tennis shoes, and someone usually notices the heel "outdentation" (for lack of a better word) sticking out above my ankle.

I have a few single socks sitting in the corner of a drawer hoping to be reunited with their long lost partners. Don't look like it's gonna happen though....

I buy only white socks....


and for work? I found some black ones with tiny polka dots in every color....therefore they go with anythng that I wear with black socks...

and I bought 10 pairs...

I have a hard time with shoes too....Where are they?????
