I've always been a fan of both the Summer and Winter Olympics. :D Not ALL events, but most. You? :)

The opening Ceremony is tomorrow night. :D

I'm so excited. The ski team looks good. I think Cohen might take the gold (her artistry is second to none) and the speed skating is going to be great!
Gentilly ... 42 years is a long time to wait .... a Northeast Texas woman can hope.

I was heavily involved in the '02 SLC Games, so it's fun for me.....
Hung out a little with a couple of the curling teams and even gained an appreciation for that!
I'm really looking forward to it......but it does make me a little melancholy!
That was a great month here!

Men of Scots heritage with brooms... and big rocks with handles.. :D

When I was little, we'd go to ND and MN to visit the grandparents. There were a lot of little curling clubs on both sides of the border, leagues and the whole 9. I miss that now.

It should not surprise you that I'm a nut - well I'm also a big Olympic nut. I think Winter is better than summer, especially if you're actually going to the Games. They're rad. I can't wait.

The Olympics just have not been the same since the cold war ended. Not that I'm not happy that the cold war ended, but beating the USSR was great.

Do you believe in miracles?
I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.

If you go to them, they're exciting. Its different though. I'll admit the big monster of USSR and East Germany is not there, but there's that fun in beating and competeing against nations like Australia who excel at sport despite their much smaller population.
