Alex Rodriguez just struck out with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the first inning.

Too bad the Yankees/Tigers game was rained out. As best as I can recall, this is the first time there's ever been two playoff games in New York on the same day.
That's an accomplisment our friends in Chicago may NEVER be able to claim.
sure they will. Hell will be issuing snow-alerts, but it could happen...

I remember that. We lost to that team that finished in 3rd place this year.
It was funny watching all the Red Sox fans cheering FOR the Yankees in that last series against Toronto.
Not me, I would rather finish 3rd than root for the Yankees.

I blame A-Rod
Okay, the Yankees season rests on a guy with a bad back and an ERA of 5 and two guys who didn't inspire anyone during the regular season.

That happened to the Yankees once. I forget who the first runner was but the second guy was Yogi Berra's son Dale.
I remember that. It was Dale Berra and Bobby Meacham. I was watching that game when it happened.

So now that fans from other cities are watching him in big spots, are you all still wondering why us YANKS fans boo A-Rod despite his big(never in the clutch) numbers?

During the first game and during last night's rain delay, the announcers pretty much said the Tigers were outclassed and the that Yankees were much too deep for them win....

I heard he was going to pitch today, but he's got that lingering paper clip when he signed the $40 million contract so they scratched him from the start.

That's always a dumb thing to say when you are only as good as the next games pitching. It's not like football where a team can physically dominate another. If a pitcher is on, he can shut anybody down.
