Pujols is on base for 324.
Anyone else get the feeling that since baseball is back that all is right with the world again (or is it just me being sick of the Knicks?)

Every one will be happy to know Bonds only hit a double today.
And
San Diego looks like they'll win it all. Didn't even need Hoffman. Piazza, first AB as a Padre, GONE!!! Key West's Kahil (sp?) Green upper deck HR. No reason to play th other 161 games

Was it Wino or Capt. P?
Fan tosses syringe near Bonds
April 3, 2006
SAN DIEGO (AP) -- A fan tossed a syringe near Barry Bonds as he came off the field in between innings on Monday at Petco Park, and the San Francisco Giants slugger said he picked it up in his glove and carried it off the field.

I was at work, must've been Garry.

I wouldn't go so far so fast
Sure, I want 'em to win it ... always do!
but, ya gotta stay away from injuries, ya gotta hit 2 HR's a game like today,
and it doesn't hurt to have an All Star pitcher opening the season for ya!
Let's see how the rest of the rotation can handle it...

LB,
You're too modest. You didn't even need Hoffman!! OK, if you win tomorrow, no reason to play the other 160 games.

The Long Island Railroad has a stop at Shea Stadium. It's on the Port Washington branch, which is the only line that doesn't go through the big hub at Jamaica. If you want to take the train to Shea and you're not on the Port Washington branch, you have to go through another hub station at Woodside. The Mets played yesterday afternoon. I'm going home last night on the 6:27 train, the first stop east of Penn Station is Woodside. A bunch of guys in Mets shirts and hats who were trying very hard to remember their first beer got on the train. They start chanting "Yankees s**k". It's the first day of the season and the Mets just squeaked by the Washington Nationals. Yeah, it's time to rag on the Yankees.

Former Padre X Nady had a great Opening Day for Mets
Mike Cameron opened season on the DL
I heard they were booing Beltran loudly at Shea

Beltran picked up where he left off last year - 0-4. I think Nady was 4-4 with 2 doubles.

I wish the Yankees could have scored a few more runs. I'm worried about our offense this year. That A's staff is tough.

Wasn't me. I was at work and with my boss, who's a HARD CORE Cardinals fan, so I was being force-fed THAT game via internet streaming.
Pujols, by the way, is on pace to hit 324 home runs this year.
TAKE THAT, Mr. Barr-oids!
