Glad to hear you'll be there Bob....look forward to seeing you again. I'm staying at the Comfort Inn in Laguna Hills (and I believe Fins Up North and Booze in the Blender are there as well).

Its really close to the venue (about a mile or so), the rate is right (about $75 per night), and it will be filled with parrotheads (so no one to complain about the parties after the show!).

See ya soon! T-35 days!
What!!! :o You are staying at that hotel? -what is the number for cancellations????

Just kidding!!! Can't wait to see you Dean!

I was at Irvine when he played there 3 years and I am not sure what exactly the rules are this year but I had A BLAST just in the parking lot before the show.....Met so many cool people, sampled food, beer, tequila, saw a few homemade jacuzzis (ya know the usual) I remember it being a weeknight so I didnt get too crazy but it was GOOD TIMES

I recommed getting there at least 2-3 hours before the show if you can-its where ya will get the chance to meet some other Parrotheads and get the full experience Hope that helps!!! :D
Thanks for the advice. I'm not sure I'll be too early on Thursday, but my Saturday will be dedicated to that 'Parrothead Game'

Anthony
Welcome to Irvine!

Jimmy has not played for three years in Irvine, but if the past is any indication, you are in for one of the best times you can have at a Buffett show.

The venue is now saying the parking lot does not open until 3 pm. Do not believe it. Parrotheads start arriving at 11 am like my group. They phlock either across from the venue on the streets where the office parks are located, or at the Irvine Spectrum Mall across the 5 Freeway. Partying commences on the streets, and the streets are well patrolled by Irvine PD. Careful with the alcohol. The PD pushes the venue to open the gates when too many people are on the streets, effectively opening around Noon - 1 PM based on hoa many people are on the streets based on my personal history.

Once inside...well let's just say nothing compares to Irvine except Great Woods (Tweeter) in Boston. The crowd is nuts, tailagting is roaring. We are bringing our Margaritaville tour bus, major sound system, and all the decorations. This will be nothing compared to how some Parrotheads do it up.

Enjoy & FINS UP!!

Careful leaving...make sure whoever is driving is sober.

Amen to that.

Also, please bring plenty of garbage bags. It's OUR job to clean up our mess, NOT somebody else's. It embarrasses me to even admit I am a PH when I see the mess from the tailgate. :x
