we bought a total of 4 and 3 were taken, we always had one extra. I only got 3 for reserved. That's all my CC would take.The_Polly_Roger wrote:Soooo . . . someone in your group is still sitting on the lawn or was that always an extra ticket?jeepgirl wrote:no we have 3The_Polly_Roger wrote:Cool! Shoreline, WooHoo!!habourgirl wrote:SHORELINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!
sorry, couldn't think of anything else to say. And yes, I realize that we have little to no chance of reaching 300 pages, like Dallas. Though when I looked through their thread some, they're not always talking about the good stuff, like we are. They're rambling on about this and that, and not really saying much of any consequence.....kinda like me, right now
I could mention that I went to see my barber yesterday, as I figured two weeks would a good amount of time to have my hair cut before meeting all you nice new people (not that you're new?) anyway!!
He's going on vacation today, returning the Friday before Shoreline, and now I'm at a lose of what to do. Do I wait for him to return, and have the freshly cut hair look, or do I go somewhere else, and trust someone with my head that I don't even know?
You guys don't care?!?!

I'd go right before SHoreline. I'd never trust my hair to anyone but my own hair stylist. But that's me. And she has hair very similar to mine so she knows what works - she has the italian curse of thick curly dark hair as well. I haven't gotten my hair cut since august - i'm going for the hippie look.redparrot26 wrote:Shoreline, WooHoo!!habourgirl wrote:SHORELINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!

At this moment I'm not completely sure what's going to happen. It all depends on my brother, the Buffett Virgin. He said he'll 'take the afternoon off'......I need to ask him if that means that come 12:01, will he be walking out the door? If so, then I would presume he and I will show up at the Page shortly after that.The_Polly_Roger wrote:So who is bringing what and where are you parking?
I will bring some jello shots (store bought) and some beer.
I will be parking in the Premium lot and will be driving my wagon.
If the lots don't open 'till 5/6 then I will be at the Sports Page.
If it means that he'll be getting out of the office around 2: or 3:pm, then I'll need to figure out how to get to the Page earlier, then he can meet me there.
I also agree, that if the parking lots don't open until 5:pm, then there will be a mass of us driving under the influence around 5:pm, to get a parking spot. Then possibly walking back to the Page, dependent upon the number of Shoreline Cops, and their attitude.
So I guess in order for me to actually know what my plan is, I'll need to discuss with my brother. Does anyone see him here?
No? OK, I'll send him an e-mail and see if I get a response today.
As for what I'm bringing, if my plan to visit the BevMo works out, then I'll be buying some of the Wet Willy jello shots, and possibly some of the Kahlua Chocolates, since Wayne and his parents won't be there.
Otherwise, Captain and Coke is my poison. So the trunk will host the cooler which will host the ice.
Oh, and someone insulted Hawaiian shirts at work today.

Not sure what my posse's plan is quite yet. I'm going with a whole big group of people apparently. I think we're gonna start our day drinking in our hotel room (we're staying at the Hilton Garden Inn or something like that) and then maybe head down to the Page in the afternoon. Hopefully the lots will open at a reasonable time so we can get our drink on. Wouldn't they rather us drink there all day so we don't have to drive under the influence. Oh well.redparrot26 wrote:At this moment I'm not completely sure what's going to happen. It all depends on my brother, the Buffett Virgin. I'll be most likely making some jello shots to bring down and then also carry out the tradition of making some in the room too......then I'll have my jug of margaritas and probably beer.....mmmmm Cuba Libres sound good too......
Wait...I didn't get the premium parking though.....and haven't decided how I'm getting to and from with the goodies as the hotel is a couple miles away from the venue. Hmmmm....I'm sure we'll work something out!
Wherever the BN'rs are is where I wanna be!

I will be doing some drinking but I won't be driving under in the influence. CA DUI laws are VERY strict and the Mountain View Cops are the type to pull over cars full of people with hawiian shirts leaving the local bars.
I kinda think the GA lot may open before the Premium lot due to the layout of the lots. The GA lot is pretty isolated from the Venue compared to the Premium lot that is right on the venue grounds.
I hope to park early at the Premium lot (if I can) and then walk back to the Page. If that doesn't happen then I will park at the Sports Page and do the "breakfast, beer, soda, soda, water, burger, beer, water, water, soda , fries, beer" thing and shuttle any BNers that have had too much to the show. Most of my drinking (which won't be a ton) will be done once my car is parked in its spot at Shoreline and will be there for several hours. (Many hours after I stop drinking.) I'm pretty sure someone checked with Shoreline and confirmed that cars can be left in the lot until noon the next day.
Please look out for yours phellow ParrotHeads so that we all can enjoy the concert and many more to come.

It was in the GA lot in '95 when security made us dump our beers out.
Hopefully they've relaxed since then and will be more tolerant of us crazy parrotheads.
John....you're awesome!! Thank you again for all the legwork you've done to help everyone out.....and also your concern and offer to soberly get pholks to the show.
