Breaking news...Bobby Knight is a Jackass

Post by CaptainP »

Apparantly, this morning on Cold Pizza, Bobby Knight stormed out of an interview with Dana Jacobson because she asked him about Indiana. What a great guy.

Are ya suprised by this Jim???

Anyway, I wonder if they asked him about the current situation at Indiana or if it was about his IU past. Anyway, Looks like the Hoosiers will be gettin a new coach. If Davis is not fired, it looks like he will leave.

Damn Badgers!

The question was: "Coach Knight, I want to ask you about Mike Dav..."

At which point he started yelling at her....she tried to regain control, all he did was take out his earpiece and storm off.

Yet, Dana Jacobson was still enough of a pro to get the plug in for his new show on ESPN.

I love the guy, but he is such an idiot. Coach Knight certainly fits well with all those extra large ego's in Texas. Coach should have just answered the question like an ass and made it clear he was not gonna comment on the issue, he was there to talk about himself first and foremost, then Texas Tech and his new show.

Given the breakup between Knight and IU, I can sorta understand it. I just wish he hadn't thrown the tantrum, just said, "I am not going to talk about it. Please don't ask me about the IU situation"

Before they go on, either the agent or someone tells the host what the interviewee doesn't want to be asked, conditions of his interview if you will. Dana is as much of a schmuck by hiding behind "journalism" by asking that question IF INDEED SHE WAS ASKED NOT TO. This is something we don't know, but it is possible that she's not as much of a victim as it may seem
"Oh all the money that e'er I spent, I spent it in good company.
And all the harm that I ever did, Alas it was to none but me.
And since it falls, unto my lot, that I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and I'll softly call, 'Goodnight and Joy be with you all.'"

She says she was not asked not to.

Now, people will argue that you should know better than to ask Bobby Knight about Indiana, but that's asking about what happened in HIS situation.

In this case, she was asking about the current coach (a former Knight assistant), and asking his opinion.

I don't think I'll ever believe her, because it's too easy for her to cover it up and say that. Oh well

I don't know - you're in a better place to hear that news than I.
