Drinkin' lots of carrot juice?

I've been doing a lot 'juicing' over the past several months, so I drink about 15 pounds worth of carrots in juice form every week (bring on the jokes), in addition to other fruits and veggies.

So I started wondering why the lyric about drinkin' lots of carrot juice and soakin' up rays is in Cheeseburger....was there a big juice craze back then? Was Jimmy a fan of carrot juice? What's the deal?

I guess this post is a result of some cabin fever...going outside in the Chicago area is not an option right now...it's a little chilly outside!

There was quite a lot of "health food" craze goin' on back then. "Everybody's joggin'...." was also incorporated into that song. Hang in there! Drink lots! Don't turn orange!

I looked like an oompa loompa for awhile...but it's worn off!

Hmmm....we could use another health food craze in the 21st century!

One of my little preschool special ed students eats lots of carrots and she has an orangish tint to her skin.

While I often enjoy eatin' sunflower seeds... had some today even... can't say as I've ever had carrot juice! Is it as good as it sounds?

carrot juice... sun flower seeds all remind me of the free spirit / hippie days.... just after the Vietnam War.... People started eating bean sprouts, carrot juice, granola, tofu... wore buffalo sandals and earth shoes.....

And right wingers blamed it on the fact that women went on the pill and went to work!

but sorry...carrot juice may be healthy...but it tastes ***bleeeck***

I think carrot juice is yummy.....only in small doses though. It tastes like the sweet core of the carrot....and is usually quite energizing!
