yep also a place I like going to. It's funny. I go to Walmart to save money and then go to Starbucks for my expensive coffee. I don't really drink plain coffee. If I did I'd make it at home or go to Wawa. I go to starbucks once or twice a week for a foo-foo coffee drink. Usually a mocha. That's my splurge. You mean like Wal Mart?
For the Starbucks haters...

Nothing wrong with that logic.OceanCityGirl wrote:yep also a place I like going to. It's funny. I go to Walmart to save money and then go to Starbucks for my expensive coffee. You save when you shop at Wal Mart, so you spend that money at Starbucks. Isn't America great!!!
I live in a small town that has reached a crossroads of sorts. Apparently we're being eyed by big box stores such as Mal Wart and Lowe's (the lumber supply store, not the grocery store chain). With this in mind, legislation has been passed by the local government to keep the big box stores out. While Mal Wart may be considered convenient to some, if they were to build here they would put the smaller stores out of business so I'm beyond estatic that they've been denied to build here. If they had been allowed to build here our area would have lost it's small town vibe that it's maintained for many, many years. If people wanna shop at corporate behemoths such as Mal Wart they can do so by traveling a very short distance to other towns that didn't fight them. Meanwhile, we keep our small town intact.

I wish I could figure out how to save money at walmart. I go in there for a toothbrush and walk out of there with a cartload of crap. I swear walmart makes most of their money off people like me.OceanCityGirl wrote:yep also a place I like going to. It's funny. Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all..
If I find myself having to enter the hell otherwise known as Mal Wart, I do a surgical strike, I get what I need and get the hell out.sy wrote:I wish I could figure out how to save money at walmart. The exorcist tantrums that my keet has been throwing in there lately because mommy says NO is definitely a curb for that!OceanCityGirl wrote:em guilty of this tooI wish I could figure out how to save money at walmart.
