The handicap stall is often where the diaper-changing table is, so if that's the case I use it quite a bit.

I said sometimes - considering this is a public restroom - I choose which ever toilet is the cleanest :-?

 Busted!

However, for the record, I don't think I've ever seen a handicapped person actually using a public bathroom.

The one in my office isn't all that great. It's roomy, but there's a booster-seat potty on top of the regular seat, so I've shyed away from it.

There's no one in my office that would require that stall that I know of, and there's only 4-5 girls on my entire floor.

I usually have the potty room all to myself.

None of the above. I use the urinal. :)

I have a phobia of sitting on public toilets... I avoid it if necessary, if it is necessary, I use the cleanest one.

i try not to have to use the stalls in public if not totally necessary

I never use the middle stall.

The non-handicap stall takes about 5 flushes to discard the refuse.

Thus the handicap stall gets my vote.

Sure. I see nothing at all wrong with using it if there's not a handicapped person waiting. It's not *exclusively* for handicapped, but is handicap-enabled.

I will if a) there's no others free, and b) if it's the cleanest.

Speaking of workplace restrooms, I find my situation quite humorous! I work in a small office, and am normally here alone, but my boss and / or his wife come in from time to time.

When you walk in our front door, my desk and the wife's desk are in the front office. Then there's a bathroom and a file area, then the back office where my boss's desk is, then a back file/storage area, and a back bathroom.

Office etiquette is such that the front bathroom is for #1 only. If #2 is required, you have to use the back bathroom to contain any malodor from the work area! :o  For the longest time, I used to actually leave the building and go to my mom's house or a fast food place, rather than facing the humilitation of walking to the back bathroom!!  I've since gotten past it and use it, but am still mortified by it!

I use it because I figure less people do...and that's exactly why I use it.

In our school building, there are staff restrooms and students restrooms. Most times, the student ones are cleaner!! :o
