OK buckeye-----you take charge of the hotline and that entitles you to have two virgin pineapple drinks.---without fourplay at the tailgate we have a lot of slack to pick up.

Got my tickets! I should probably begin hoarding tequila now. For some reason, the liquor stores always seem to run low a few days before the concert. I'm sure there's a connection, but I just haven't figured it out yet.

random question...
As I think back throught the years of shows at PG Pavilion, I can often recall seeing a large fake volcano, hot tub, big tent, etc., in the main parking lot up against the fence near the entrance. Does anyone know what those were all about? Is it some kind of VIP area or private party or something?
By the time I stagger in to the show, it's usually devoid of people, so I've never been able to ask anyone.

I remember that setup! It's awesome! There's always tons of sand and stuff and it is there every year in the same spot! That's a great question, you would think someone here would know the answer! But sorry, it's not me! I'm not VIP I guess!

Ack! Please promise me that when you finish that stuff you'll try making a
real Margarita. They're super-easy to make, (only requires tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and NO BLENDER) and taste worlds better than any recipe using a mix.
Sorry if I sound harsh, but I'm a bit of an evangelist where the Gospel of the True Margarita(tm) is concerned. My wife turned me on to the original recipe many years ago and I've never looked back. We always have them at the concert, so make sure you swing by for a few! (did someone say something about putting a cell phone list together??)

OK OK...I promise to attempt to make a "real" margarita. I finished the pre-made bottle & will go buy the real thing. And yes will swing by for a true margarita unless mine taste darned good too. Thanks

As for the big set up with all the sand, hot tub, tiki bar, etc., it's put up every year by Kelly's Riverside Saloon. It's a bar down here in Beaver County, along the Beaver River. It has kind of an Irish Pub theme inside, but the outside patio is all sand, palm trees, tikis and Margaritas! They have Buffett night on Wednesdays & it's a total blast. They take busloads up every year. If you get a chance, stop by and check it out! See you all at the show!

Hey Sunphine,
Kelly's is how I originally got turned onto Buffett. Back in '93-94, we used to take the big bus they'd put together. It was a blast! Kelly's was/is my father's regular watering hole, and he & my mom still go there on Sundays for breakfast on the back patio under the palm trees.
What part of Beaver County do live you in? I grew up in Hopewell, and my folks now live in Beaver/Brighton Township.

I was gonna answer your question Craiger but Sunphine beat me to it. I snuck my way into the hottub one year because I started to talk to one of the people who brought the hottub and we both were from Beaver County aka America's county and it led to margaritas in that great hottub setup haha.

This is the first time that i got a bus for the trip. I come from 70 and normally pass the entrace and come in the other way, so that we get put in the lower parking lot. It shouldn't matter with a bus because of the parking(should it). I think all the buses are put in the same area.
Can you wait at the entrace for the doors to open with the bus? I assume the doors will open at 1:00 or so although the official site says 3:00
Any hints or suggestions would be appreciated

I've never been in a bus that's arrived as early as the rest of us goofballs do (around noon-1), so I'm not sure. I do know that the cops tend to turn away the early birds until about 1 or so, which results in everyone congregating in the "mini lot" across the street.
If I was taking a full-sized bus, I'd maybe wait a bit and not show up right at the crack of noon. But who knows...there don't seem to be any hard and fast rules about when they open up.
