Scott Kirby is playing at Makris Lobster and Steak House in Concord, NH Friday, August 11th at 7:30. Tickets are $10 at the door. It's up Rt. 93 about an hour North of Boston. Take 393 East in Concord to Rt.106 North.

In the past, Peter Mayer (and Jim, and once even Roger Guth!) played with Scott at this venue. Since there's no gig on Peter's website for that night, just maybe...???!!!

Hey there everyone! so here's the deal...

I was finally able to score tickets this year... after several years of shut-out...lol...
so my friend and I are going to the saturday show.
my question is... as far as parking lot festivties go,
what are the rules? (if any?)
what time will we be allowed in?
and if anyone wants to hang out, let me know. this is my first show after
six years of fandom, and i hope to have a blast.

Looking forward to it!!

Now the issue is I can't find a damn hotel room. Luckily I live only 40 minutes away.
We got's a free one! Might have to sell couch space to pay for the rental car!

bring cups for your drinks. there's an ordinance against drinking alcohol, but as long as you have it in a cup and don't provoke the Mansfield police, you should be okay. keep any bottles out of sight.

usually they open the lots between 9:00and 10:00

JCC and I plan on being there- same time, same place! If you see an RV that looks like it could have been Jimmy's first tour bus - that's us! :D (Unless it breaks down on trip down from Maine - then we'll be in the truck.) Bringing an old parrotthead and a virgin with us. Can't wait!

HELP!!!

I'm coming from Raleigh, NC and have never been to Boston. My wife and I are coming in on Friday, so I am going to miss a lot of the fun before hand, but was hoping someone could help us out. I'm staying at the Marriott Tremont and I have no idea where this is in relation to the venue??? I was hoping a group or bar near there has a crew going that we might hitch up with? My concern is getting there, but also getting back to the hotel. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Just 4 more work days!!!!!!

maybe miss. That's the beauty of the risk.

You are stying pretty far from Great Woods. The Marriott you are staying is in downtown Boston, Great Woods is about 30 - 35 minutes south. There is a train you can take to Mansfield (the city GW is in) then you can take a cab. Here is the schedule http://www.mbta.com/traveling_t/schedul ... d&x=75&y=4 it leaves from South Station in Boston which is not far from your hotel.

If you are renting a car then it is much easier.

Here is a map that may help you

a couple issues here. As BOR already mentioned you are a good 30-35 minutes from the venue. Parking is going to run you 30-35 a day at the hotel as you are pretty much downtown and if your not familiar with Boston, driving in the city will give you a huge headache!!!! You can take a train but than you are at the mercy of the train schedule. If your not going to be sightseeing in Boston my advice is find a hotel closer to GW in the Foxboro, Sharon etc... area.

Thank you for the heads up.... We have a car, but I would rather park it if at all possible and just hook up with a crew going. I will check into the train situation and see what I can do far there... Thanks again for all the heads up!

Scott is great I saw him at the Hog's Breath in KW this past April. Well worth the trip to NH.
