Oh yeah, I think we will break 100. I'm curious how many ambulances/rescue personal we are going to see out in the parking lot. There's gonna be a whole lot of dehydration going on.

PS. I hope you were joking about the heart attack alert.

reed69 wrote:Hey guys , was also at nissan for the chesney concert this past week, at first i had my beer in a coozie was approached by a parking lot attendant that was walking around. I had a cup write their with me and he told me to put it in it. After that i didnt have any problems, although i will say that i have been to a few other concerts this year and there was grilling going on at almost every one of them, and i saw no one grilling on friday night , couldve been due to the friday night show instead of saturday like the other ones. I will say that if you get in certain lots like the very back lot , they call the "new lot" they will hold you for at least 2 hours after the show. They cleared out the first lots before even letting us out so be prepared to continue the party for a while after the show. That shouldnt be a problem as long as you have a DD.
There were plenty of grills at Kenny on Sat.

Also, if you had a truck/SUV, they let you park on the grass by the road as soon as you came in. I did this....we were out in 10 minutes. My friend parked in the regular lot. She called us as we were 15 minutes from Baltimore, she was just getting out of the lot!!!! Nissan without a doubt has the worst parking ever, so if they let you park on the grass by the road.....DO IT!

hi everyone. I live about a mile from Nissan and we're going on Thursday. We really want to tailgate but with the heat we are coming up with alternate plans. There are some new restaurants that have opened up nearby. We are thinking about doing a pub crawl with Unos, Ruby Tuesdays and Osaka(I know, it sounds really cheesy). The cops are cool as long as you have a cup. Also, for tailgating supplies, check out the Super Target. They have the dollar spot that was loaded up with plastic margarita glasses, leis, coconut cups and other fun stuff. They however haven't gotten their liquor license yet at Target so no luck there.

As I said in an earlier post, I can't believe they let people take in water for some shows but not Buffett. With this heat, they would be foolish to not allow people to hydrate themselves. I think we will see plenty of folks who have over-indulged and have heat issues. The EMT's will be busy I'm afraid. Be smart everybody!

My wife and I are hoping to hook up with a larger tailgate party this year. Our regular crew has been called to other ports this year and are in different parts of the world.

Might we be able to join some of you. We'll bring beer !!!!

Phins up ya'll

Reed,

I have seen them at Target and Wal-Mart. Shouldn't set you back too much. We had one last year and it was a life-saver. Also, threw a hundred pounds of sand down under the tent, so we could sit under the tent with toes in the sand. Plan on doing the same Thursday.

See y'all in the lot.

bottles with phans?? uhh,, fans??

tent/awning things.. seen em at sports authority pretty cheap.

HAS ANYONE SEEN THOSE MIST BOTTLES WITH A FAN ATTACHED?
I was just out looking for them in this 99 degree HEAT

Same drill as usual, I'll be trying to stay wet the whole time. Nissan will be charging $12 a beer and $5 for water. And as said in other posts, they'll probably make you toss your own bottles as you enter,,, and get frisked. (Constitution suspended at NiSSan Pavilion.) :x
I wish JB was back at Merriweather

We're going to have our bus driver keep the bus running with the A/C. Nissan cracked down on buses idling the past few years, but we have a pregnant Parrothead with our group this year, so we think we can convince the driver to keep the A/C on :)

Yes, the mist bottles are pretty cool. Ha, I made a pun. I crack myself up. :D Nonetheless, I think you could get those things at Target, Sports Authority, places like that.

Melting away again in Margaritaville ...

In one of the other threads, someone suggested baby wipes and an extra shirt.

For the water, I'm gonna freeze some of my water bottles and put those in the cooler. It will keep things cold for a while and when it melts, I've got drinkable water. Kill 2 bird with 1 stone.

Hot Hot Hot

I'm new here - hello to all!

Headed to Nissan on Thursday, getting hot weather preparations started...

I purchased a 12x12 canopy tent at Dicks Sporting Goods for about $70. The store in Columbia, MD had a TON of them out on their sidewalk - I tested them and they cut the heat by a good 15 degrees.

I'm borrowing a power inverter to run off my Prius to handle an oscellating fan.

Need to run to Target to pick up mist fan bottles tomorrow.

Hotel room is booked, still need to confirm.

Speaking of that, does anyone know how to *confirm* tickets not purchased through Ticketmaster? I purchased through "ticketsnow.com" and paid too much, but I was desperate for a fix.

Got a 3 Gallon Cooler with a spicket for Iced Margaritas. Shrimp are thawing to be marinated in Tequilla tomorrow. No grill - too hot!

I have a baby pool, but how does one get the water there? You'd need a WHOLE lot.

I so miss the good old days back at Merriweather... If any old AOL Parrotheads are out there - shout out! Conchette is headed to VA!!
