tailgating at DMB and Buffett are slightly different... If they truly do intend on waiting till 4:00 to open the lots, there will be a nightmare of a traffic jam. I would say that 3/4's of the cars are usually in the lots by 4:00 and the police will make the tweeter center open the lots because of the traffic.

I totally agree about the difference in tailgating and I hope they do open the lots alot sooner then 4 but my friend is a higher up for the T.C. security and as of today that is what he has been told. And your right, the traffic will be a nightmare.

I know from past expeiriece that they always say 4:00 (I've had several friends who worked for the parking) but they opened they early... I guess we'll all have to party in the streets (or riot) if they don't let us in... Are there any other lots if we can't get into the Tweeter center parking?

I believe all the lots in the area are controlled by the T.C. If there are any that arent I dont believe they are close.

I still can't phathom opening the lots at 4:00... I can see 20k PH's mixed in with rush hour traffic, and I think this will be a complete mess! If this is true then this will my last show in Camden... each year it has gotten worse and I think that it may be time to start heading back down to Nissan Pav. again!

blackjack and I have been going to shows at the Tweeter Center (e-center to us) ever since it opened and we have never had problems finding parking. Buffett is no suprise to the Tweeter or the city of Camden. The authorities know exactly what they have gotten themselves into when they agree to host a Buffett show. They may say 4 pm but that is just to scare away the BuffettVirgins and those afraid of spending time in Camden. There will be plenty of early parking in the RiverSharks lots and under the bridge.

Just remember that Parrotheads don't riot.

We are better fans than the DMB could dream of having.

Once you are on the boat it only takes about 15 minutes BUT the boats only run every 30 minutes (I think).

That is kind of what I've been trying to say... the Tweeter Center always says that the lots don't open until later in the day, but open them up much earlier then the posted time.

Also, I agree about the the riot part (that was just a joke)

kcz27: The question you should ask your friend who works security at the TC is when the parking attendents are scheduled to arrive for work. If they are scheduled to arrive at 9:00 or 10:00 (like they were 2 years ago) we can assume that the lots will open around 12:00.

I just called the parking authority since they are the ones that own the RiverSharks lots, used the "special events parking" ext and got voicemail. I'll try again throughout the day until someone answers. You guys are welcome to try calling as well and we'll see what kind of answer they give us. 856-757-9300 ext 32.

Does anyone else think its beyond appropriate that we park in the "Riversharks" lots? I know its a walk but the name just works!

My other thought which I posted a while back is that we're going to get down there early with a lot of other true phans, I'd rather end up in a lot with a lot of other true phans than a bunch of jackarses which is what we might end up with if we wait around to get in a lot.

Yyaaarrrggh!!!!!! :pirate:

Good morning all you pirates and parrotheads!!!!

The pirate just woke up!!!!

The Jell-O shot taste testing last night ran very late....

And apparently, Gypsie Girl put more rum in the shots than she thought.

Musta been an extra splash when our ship hit some rough water last night.

As for parking......

YYAAARRRGGH!!!! :pirate:

IT IS ONLY 7 DAYS AWAY!!!!!!!!! :pirate:

As for parking, I think the Rivershark parking lot is name appropriate and the most likely lot they will open first.

As for the walk.....well....we are landsharks and pirates!!!! :pirate:

A little staggering walk won't kill any of us.

Just remember the code!!!

NOBODY GETS LEFT BEHIND!!!

IF YOU SEE A PIRATE, PARROTHEAD, GYPSIE OR BNer, laying on the ground..........

PICK THEM UP AND GIVE THEM A DRINK!!! :pirate:

Also, the Rivershark lot is paved.

The lot in front of the Tweeter is dirt and rocks, prone to dust storms and rather rough on flip flops and bare feet.

Gypsie Girl and me can't wait to see all our phriends!!! :pirate:

Blackjack, Blackjack's Wife, Tequila Tom, Harbour Girl, Tallship, Sy, Zanth and everyone who made sure the pirate's liver got a good work out last year at CBP!! :pirate:

As of 9:45am and 7 days to go, the "official" word is that lots will open at 4:00pm.

All of the true PH's and BN'ers know that lots will open as soon as we invade Tweeterville!!! :pirate:

Sticking with the original plan of meeting at the crowne at 11am I believe would be best, simply because I would think that's what everyone is planning on at this point.

and how far of a walk are we talking from the rivershark lot?

Based on my cell phone list though, I think only about half are meeting at the Crown Plaza. Based on the times you put, I think I will be getting there a little before you so if you want to just give me a call, I can tell you where we end up.

The Riversharks lot is a decent walk but it really isn't bad and it has its benefits, namely that it gives you a good sober - up walk back to your car and because you're further away than some of the other lots, there aren't constantly people walking past your car during the walk back, urinating, vomiting etc. Also, it gets you out pretty quickly as well b/c you're not stuck behind the other 338 lots trying to get out.

Yyaaarrrggh!!! :pirate:

The last few shows at the Tweeter we have parked at the Rivershark parking lot and it has served us well!!!

Me and Gypsie Girl have never had a problem docking at Tweeterville.

All the same, we will be meeting up at the Crown with the rest of the BN clan.

The convoy sysytem always works nicely!!! :pirate:

Yyaaarrrgh....

Me and Gypsie Girl were planning on 10:30am.....

Maybe a smidge early, but that is better than late!!!

Plus it gives us a chance to stretch our sea legs, say hi to everybody, etc.

I thought 11:00am was the "planned ETA" for us to be at the Crowne.

With an tentative 11:15am - 11:30am pulling up of anchors and setting sail for Tweeterville.

When are you planning on getting to the Crowne? :pirate:

That's kind of what I'm trying to judge so I don't get lost in the shuffle. (I have no idea how to get to the tweeter from the hotel).

I'm guessing to be on the safe side, I'll get there around 10:30.
