Bob Roberts wrote:I was looking on the Riverbend website and it says that there is absolutely NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES or TAILGATING permitted in the parking lots. Do the cops just overlook it for Buffett? Also, it says you CAN bring in disposable cameras without a flash. Is this enforced or can you usually get in with one that has a flash on it?

My brother and his friend are 20 and are Buffett virgins too. They would like to know this as well. Anybody?
Hi Bob!
You are correct that there is no actual Tailgating allowed in the Riverbend parking lot - which is why everyone piles into the grass lot (not owned by Riverbend) right across the street. I've been to the Cincy concert several times, but this will be my first journey to the "promise land" on the other side of the street.

If you look up the thread a ways, I asked a couple of questions about the lot myself, including what time to get there.

Enjoy the show!
Brian

I'm going with a friend (who is going to their first Buffett show) and we want to do it right, but we don't have the car capacity to bring our own tailgating stuff, nor the time to prepare either. So we'll kinda be grazing, looking for groups to mingle with here and there.

Also, for veteran tailgaters, what is your best advice for the "almost-21-but-not-quite-legal-yet" Parrotheads that will be tailgating? Like I said, we want to "do the Buffett experience right" since it's my buddy's first time. Thanks in advance!
Call me... I'm on the list. You won't be disappointed, trust me. Just ask anyone that's partied with us... LOL!!! BYOB, and yes, it'll be allowed.

So is "the" lot to go to the grass one on the other side of the road from Riverbend? Is it dead across the street from Riverbend (like to I go like I am going to Riverbend)? What time does it open, anyone know?

The only other time we were at riverbend in 2001 I think, we didn't get to the lots until 5-6 PM and got into the one you were asking about (right across the road from the venue). We were lucky maybe, but we got 2 vehicles in......

I'm having trouble concentrating on work here.........writing job descriptions while visions of Ritas, tall shots of absolute, cherry bombs and CRAZY ASS PH's dance in my head.......

I just had to delete: incumbent must possess extensive tailgating knowledge and be able to recite at least 10 songs not on SYKBH.
