you can't lay on the beach and drink rum all day if you don't start in the morning 8)

I'd like to know as well. Four of us heading out from Hillsboough Sunday, staying over of course.

Like I said before, I called the venue and they said tailgating shouldn't be a problem, just bring cups. Not sure what time it opens, they said to call back closer to the date of the show.

I've talked to a member of the Charlotte club and she said they were still planning, but the one thing they had planned on doing was getting premier parking passes and tailgating there. I'll email her and see if I can get more info.

I guess I picked the wrong hotel! :( We'll be over at the Hampton.

We're at the Hampton as well. I think I remember a few others saying they are staying there, too.

We can still cause some trouble!

Tickets came in the mail this morning! I have a feeling the parking pass will come in the next week or so, since I bought it after the tickets.

We've gotten a bit artistic and are in the middle of making some appropriate window clings for Jeep...I guess everyone will be able to tell where we are going on the drive down!! It may be a bit early, but I know myself, if I don't do it now......I will wait until the LAST possible second and stress myself out. (That is so not my goal!)

What is the deal with the parking pass? What do you get out of it?

It allows you to park closer to the actual amphitheatre....and it is my understanding...from this board and others, that much of the tailgating (such as may be allowed by the venue) will occur in this area....not to mention a better view to watch the parade of the phlock....lol.

I figure I've already made an investment in the tickets......what's another 20$ at this point. I've bought them for other shows in other places, and it always seemed worth the money there. I don't know how Charlotte will be.

I talked to a friend who is a member of the PHC of Charlotte and she said they would be planning more at their April 4th meeting, so hopefully, we'll know more then. Soraya, we also got the parking passes. Our group sets up a tiki bar, complete with margaritas for everyone while they last. Maybe we'll see you and your keet there!
