I am coming from southern Kentucky for my 12 Buffett concert, but my first one at Indy. Do they have a parking lot or area that you can go to early (like before noon) and hang out and party? I went to a concert in Nashville TN a couple years ago and they wouldn't even let you park a car until 4:00 that afternoon. I am used to places like my all time favorites: Cincy and ATL where it's an all day affair...
Got my phins pointed north waiting for 8/8...

Who from BN is NOT doing the pre-show tailgate? We'd love to get a group together to meet in the lot. Do we know what time the lot opens? And who has premiere parking those who are going straight to the lot? So many questions....we're running out of time pholks! :) :):) I can hardly wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're NOT doing the pre-show, but are definitely looking to meet in the lot. Should be there somewhat early, since we're staying in the area Mon. nite. (which also means we're in for CiP on Monday nite :D )

Couldn't find when the lots open on their website. Little help?

I just called Verizon and they gave me the following times:
Lot opens at 3pm.
Gates open at 5pm.
Showtime at 8pm.

Bear in mind, the lady on the phone said she was "new", but I heard her ask some others in the office so hopefully this is accurate. Last year I think they opened the lot at 1pm, maybe they don't want to deal with that again. As with all things, I imagine it's subject to change until we see a posting on the website. I just realized that I'm working Mon night, so I will be unable to attend the get to-gether that night, I'll just have to meet everybody at the show :)

3 p.m. sounds like the standard for any show. Other venues bump it up for Jimmy's shows, but it's my first time to Indy so I'll defer to others that've been there.

I don't know if I can fit a whole day's drankin' into five hours

I called, too. And you know what else the gal told me about tailgating???

No drinking! :o :o :o

I said, "You're kidding, right?? This is Buffett."

She said it twice more and then went to check with some one else...and came back and said...

"Drinking is discouraged."

Also, no grills.

Gates open at 3pm.

So, Blank, you and I were given the same time.

We'll be in the premiere lot...under the metallic 8 ft. palm hanging from the extended golf ball retriever...still working on timing and all....

I'm beginning to think that the best time to call would be the day of the show. Sounds like they're just giving out the status quo start time and lot policy. I wouldn't be suprised if next week the website says the lot opens at 1  So much for going to the source.
I'm hoping we can get most of our group there around the time the lot opens, if so, I'll try to steer us all towards the premier parking lot, or wherever the largest group of BN'ers will be located. Although, I'm curious to see this golf ball palm contraption :D

Please count me in as well on the list!

Thought I wouldn't be able to make it, but my schedule cleared up!

Count my fiancee and I in! I think we'll be in the premier lot.

Thanks,

Paul :D

Catch&Release wrote:After some drama of not knowing whether my schedule would clear on August 8th to make the Noblesville show, I'm finally sure we'll be there.

Please add me to the list of BN'ers attending the show! I hope to meet many of you in person.

I was able to get a room at the Fairfield Inn in Noblesville. Will that be a convenient place to stay on the night of the show?

Also, it sounds like parking can be a drag at Deer Creek. If we get the $20 premier parking, will it make it easier to get to our hotel at the end of the show? Are any of you parking in that lot????

Thank you! Jimmy was amazing in Cinci and I'm fired up that Jake will be with him again in Indiana.
Other than the Sleepy Bear Campground, there's nothing really close to the venue...Fairfield should work fine.

Yes, getting out of the main lot can be a big chore...that's why we go to the premier lot...after the show they send you North on Boden Road which will be more convenient for getting back up to 38 and back into Noblesville where the Fairfield is located. If you're in the main lot, you'll have to go directly back to 69, which will be out of your way. (Hint, hint...you'll be better off taking that route to Verizon/Deer Creek, as well.)
