Hey pamesoo, did you score all of your lawn seats? Glad to see the southern part of the state well represented. We are staying at the LaQuinta which used to be the Baymont across from the Holiday Inn.Looking forward to meeting up with the BN crowd. Anyone starting a cell phone list later? Btw,I will probably have an extra pavillion seat if anyone needs it.Not the best but it is center and cheaper.
If we couldn't laugh we would all go insane.

Quick warning: Last time we stayed at the Holiday Inn, cops were checking incoming cars on the access road for open containers and such on Saturday afternoon. Looked like they were confiscating; don't know whether they were ticketing.

Our preference: LaQuinta Inn, formerly the Baymont. Cheaper, lots of good folks there (wound up parking at Tweeter next to some folks we'd stood in line with at the front desk) and some parking lot action at the Baymont as well. They're no doubt sold out by now, but keep checking, especially the week of the show. Lots of rooms are given up then, because folks book multiple rooms long before ticketing to make sure they've got that five-minute drive (and not the half-hour drive on I-80 to the next group of hotel/motels).
Is there a place close by that we can all meet before the show and how can I say this, have a cocktail or 2 with BNer's? :D :D :D :D

I have to say that I'm really surprised this thread is not very active. I guess I could help out in making it active. But are there not going to be that many BN'ers at the chicago show? Just curious......

The list of BNer's is as long as any other show I have been to. Maybe a place we can meet and greet before the show would be helpful. 8) 8) 8)

Nope. No tix yet. We just got back from Dallas and now our focus will turn more towards Chicago. I have four rooms booked at the SleepInn. But we may end up camping...not sure yet..but we'll be there with bells on and four virgins! We'll have to look each other up. There doesn't seem to be many of So.IL. folks around these parts!

Got my tix today. Would like to meet up with the BNers to get to know you guys. I haven't been on here long and I really don't know anyone yet, but I'll be with a small group of about 5 or 6. From what I have read, seems like the BNers know how to have a great tailgate...

the Chicago thread always seems to be slower than many of the others. Things will pick up some after ALpine---so many go to both of those shows that all attention is on Alpine right now!

Yeah, it's usually one of the slowest... it never really gets as high as the others, but this one is still better because I'm gonna be there! (just kidding :pirate:   8) )

Where's the best place to camp? There are about 6 of us coming up and were thinking of camping instead of the hotel room.

Anyone know if anyone is coming from Colorado? I'm looking for a ride to the show (yes, all the way from Colorado). Camping sounds good too.
I'm just tryin' to get by being quiet and shy,

Re: Camping!!!

We stay at Windy City CampGround. There will be 6 of us too. My mom and dad, (who are in their 50's) orgininal parrotheads. Then my 3 sisters, the oldest is 32 the youngest is 18 and of course myself. A family of parrotheads! I am soooo looking forward to aug. It will be here before we know it.

http://www.windycitycampground.com

Its about a 5-10 min drive to the venue. It think for tent camping it is 15 per person per night. So pretty cheap! pLus there are always a lot of camp fires, music and parrot heads. They also have a lake and a beach. So most of the morning of the concert day is spent laying on the beach. Until the venue parking lot opens. What is more fitting than that!
