For comedic value, I had to go with Major League. I was leaning that way when I first read the thread title and then seeing Jobu....kind of sealed the deal for me. :D

The Natural and Field Of Dreams were right there as well for me.
Thank You!

ALL good movies. :D Had to go with "Field Of Dreams", though.. but it's a tough choice.

I went with Field of Dreams as well. But I also love For Love of the Game.

And an honorable mention should go to Battlefield Baseball :D

I've seen them all, and they're all good movies.
But I voted for "Field of Dreams".
ANY movie with James Earl Jones is nothing short of EXCELLENT.
The role of Terrence Mann in that movie was MADE for him.

One of the best actors ever. And a damn fine gentleman.

Bull Durham has this, though..

Annie: What do you believe in then?

Crash: Well, I believe in the soul. The cock. The pussy. The small of a woman's back. The hanging curveball. High fiber. Good scotch. That the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a Constitution Amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas eve. And I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days...Goodnight.

Annie (with a voice that could melt butter): Oh my.

I'm not sure I would call 1994's "Clean Slate" with Dana Carvey excellent but your point is well taken....
