board tricks and tips

speaking with another BN'er the other day........I suggested using F5 for refresh instead of going back one page and then clicking on the current page in order to see what was new. It's one of those things you think everyone knows but it's not the case.

So, in that vein, what "shortcuts" do you use on a regular basis like F5? Maybe we'll all learn some new stuph :-)

I think it's fascinating how we all have our set ways of doing things.... When Jim changed things around it made some people nuts, and others hardly noticed. When Latest Posts occasionally hiccups it drives some people (like me) crazy, and others hardly notice.

I automatically go to "Latest Posts" and rarely check the Forum Index.

And I check the forum index rather than use latest posts.

I also use F5, or the little icon for refreshing your screen-much simpler than going back to go forward :pirate: :pirate:

I'm glad you said something....I've been trying to figure out what I've been doing differently....checking settings and preferences....glad to hear that it was 'glitching' here instead of in my brain......although that happens quite frequently, too.

CTRL+ALT+X = shutdown
CTRL+ALT+R = reboot
CTRL+ALT+P = start Photoshop
CTRL+ALT+M = start Mozilla
plus the usual
CTRL+C
CTRL+V
CTRL+X
CTRL+Z
CTRL+ALT+Z
