I will be in Nashville at SEC tourney when Cinci tickets go on sale next Saturday. Staying right downtown. Can anyone help me out with the closest ticketmaster locations to downtown hilton? Thanks.

I'm kinda new to all this frenzy surrounding ticket buying so can I ask a question? Can you still get tickets at places when they first go on sale? When I was a teen, I worked at the mall and remember people lining up at the record store to buy tickets. How do you find out where tickets are sold in your area? Do you have a better chance of getting tickets that way? Can you go to the amptheatre on the day tickets are sold and expect to get better tickets at the ticket window? Do they even sell them? I've gotten tickets on line but it makes me nervous to read everyone's problems getting them.

This would be your best bet from downtown.

yes :D

yes, the go onsale at retail locations at the same time as internet and phone sales begin

When I was a teen, I worked at the mall and remember people lining up at the record store to buy tickets. How do you find out where tickets are sold in your area?

go to ticketmaster's web site and click on 'retail locations' in the upper right hand corner of the home page.

Do you have a better chance of getting tickets that way?

Possibly, if there aren't a lot of other people there...tickemaster no longer allows people to 'camp out' for tickets, the do a lottery before tickets go onsale and you line up according to the lotto pick

Can you go to the amptheatre on the day tickets are sold and expect to get better tickets at the ticket window?

you need to check for that information, some box offices do not open for first day sales, some do...your tickets will be pulled from the same database of tickets regardless of your location, you will same ticketmaster fees if you go to the amptheatre...

Do they even sell them? I've gotten tickets on line but it makes me nervous to read everyone's problems getting them.

they sell out so fast and there are so many people trying, there is nothing for sure...I live close enough to a ticket outlet that I can actually go home between when the lotto number is chosen and tickets go onsale...in otherwords, if I end up 20th in line, its back in the car to try on the net

thanks

Thanks jiggs! Appreciate all the info, now to put it in practice. I just bought 2 of what's called Megatickets to country concerts at Verizon in Charlotte for this summer. You pay one price and get tickets to all 6 of the concerts, lawn seats but the tickets were only $135. The tickets are for Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Sugarland, Gretchen Wilson, Brooks and Dunn, Trace Adkins, etc. I bought the tickets on line, got to the area where it gave me a confirmation number, but then I felt like I was left hanging. I expected it to say "transaction completed" or something to that effect, but it didn't. Makes me feel like I didn't finish but I guess as long as I have that number, I'm ok. Thanks again!!!!

Hey, Nashville is on central time, and Cincy is on eastern. This probably means that tickets will go onsale an hour before Nashville TM locations open.

Your best bet is to find someplace with an Internet connection. Perhaps your hotel will have a computer in the lobby, but be sure and get there early enough to get on the computer there. Or, you can try a Kinko's type place or a library.

Good luck.

Okay...I'm in Nashville, central time. Tickets go on sale 10:00 am eastern time, which is 9:00 am central time. Tickmaster outlet (Tower Records) opens at 10:00 am central time(which is 11:00 am eastern time). Store opens at 9:00 am central time (which is 10:00 am eastern time). Does this mean that tickets can't be bought there until on hour after they can be bought somewhere in eastern time? Basically, not going to happen. The computer in the hotel is good idea, but I never have any luck getting in pavilion that way, so I wanted to try to "in person" method. Talk about the port of indecision...

Unless you can find a TM location in Nashville that opens at 9:00 AM Central time, you unfortunately are SOL. I've run into that same problem in the past because I live in the central time zone.
