I hope they make it, but that being said, people still will be talking about this?
Ohio State was placed on three years' probation Friday and ordered to erase all references to its 1999 trip to the Final Four and three other tournament appearances under former coach Jim O'Brien.
The decision by the NCAA does not affect this season's team, which is 24-4 and ranked seventh in the country. The announcement came about two hours before the top-seeded Buckeyes' 63-56 win over Penn State in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten tournament in Indianapolis.

True saw that during the game, the probation is for all the sports ladies and mens.

Seven violations involved the men's basketball program under O'Brien. The other two involved women's basketball and football.
Not like they got cars...dental work of all things....
Five women's basketball players received free dental work totaling $13,760 in violation of NCAA bylaws. Troy Smith, the star quarterback in the Buckeyes' victories over Michigan the past two years, received $500 from a booster.

Congrats to the Gamecocks. They outplayed and outhustled the Vols all afternoon and deserved to win. It certainly didn't help that the Vols couldn't get anything to fall either. Chris Lofton, our sharpshooter, was shutout at the half and had about 5 points when I left with about a minute left.
My time and money would have been better spent getting a colonoscopy. And it would have been just as enjoyable too.
Hopefully we can fare much better in the NCAAs as I'm afraid that we've played ourselves down to a 4 or 5 seed.

But the Vols will still make the selection cut on Sunday.

Good to see some "new" teams in it, instead of the same old same old.

As a dyed in wool Vol, there is NO WAY that we should have been a 2 seed. A 3 maybe if you consider the season as a whole and overlook our late season swoon. But I'll take it. I hope we can get past Winthrop and then probably Witchita State. I'd love to play UNC or Michigan State.
Still can't believe that UK (if they can get past a pesky UAB team) will draw UConn.
