With it being printed in next weeks Sports Illustrated I believe the writers have there facts together, especially after the whole Dan Rather incident
He has admitted to taking the steroids. His excuse is he didn't know what they were giving him. .
well then he just needs to bow out gracefully.... I wonder why he wont.....

The book could have been written about any of 25 or more other ball players. I'm really having a problem accepting the "sterroid era" of baseball. Buck O'neil should be in the Hall of Fame. Another sad day for the great game.

considering the whole league has been drugged for years, why should bonds be singled out?

from today's paper....

Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig estimated that "quite a few" of the leagues' players have used illegal amphetamines. "I've been around clubhouses for 46 years, and there's no question amphetamine use was going on in the big leagues", Selig said...

why do you think Bonds is being singled out? Palmerio was all but banished from the game. McGwire barely shows his face in public. Sosa will be lucky if he plays with a minor league team... hardly being singled out. They're all getting what they deserve.

Bonds is the biggest target because he's the one on the verge of breaking Aaron's record (and the fact that his head is 5 times larger than the next guy). But that by no means makes him the only target....

They should get him out before he breaks Hank's record. And, if this latest is true, shouldn't he be suspended??

All of this makes it very hard to stay a baseball fan.... :( :-? :-?

he won't be suspended because he has never failed a drug test and these allegations took place when baseball didn't have a steriod policy.

Thank you Mr. Commissioner! It’s great to see you have the stones to take on the big issues regarding the integrity of the game while insuring the fans you’re looking out for the best interest of baseball. Obviously new stadiums and revenue sharing are far more important than performance enhancing drugs. I forgot, the only sin is not to win.

I caught you knockin'
at my dugout door
I love me, baby,
can I have some more
Ooh, ooh, the damage done.

I hit the city and
I lost my mind
I watched the needle
take another ball
Long-Gone, gone, the damage done.

I sing the song
because I love me- the man
I know that some
of you don't understand
Milk-blood-HGH and cattle hormones
to keep from running out.

I've seen the needle
and the damage done
A little part of it in everyone
But every junkie's
like a settin' sun.

So far, I've only read some excerpts from S.I. and the upcoming book, but early indications are that the authors were quite thorough in their research. I wonder if they talked to the Pittsburgh and S.F. batboys, just to compare helmet sizes?

he could deny it all he wants in the past.......but the truth does catch up with you..........he seems to be the type of player who doesn't care what the media and the public think.......he won't quit!!!..........i was listening to a interview with a SF beat writer and they don't care out there as long as they win!!......the guy had 3 40 hr seasons before 1998 and 5 since!!!
