Dear Fellow Tequila Dude,

Don’t believe everything you hear. The casual fan, who does not understand the importance of those sacred records and baseball’s history, probably doesn’t care. However, there are a lot of us NO CALS who think Barroids actions are shameful. Driving home last night listening to the SF Giants flag ship radio station, KNBR, the guy called in with a little story that keeps rumbling through my mind. The guy told the story about how much his late mother loved baseball. She especially loved Willie McCovey, Willie Mays, and Hank Aaron. Thos guys were her “top shelf” players and the envy of the major leagues. The guy said his mom would be totally heart broken because Barroid was one of her “top shelf” players too, before he started on the steroids. This man, who by now I’m sure you figured out is black, said Barroid’s actions would have broken her heart. He stated Barroid’s choices tarnish her “top shelf” players.

No one’s perfect in this life. Barry’s choices hurt some people deeper than baseball. That man telling that story really got to me.

Like I said before, there’s another 25 or so guys that all you need to change is the name and the book reads about the same. I’m waiting for someone to catch a pitcher on the juice. Again, in today’s world the only sin is not to win.

Me thinks it's a typo....

Even if baseball lets him play, I hope a pitcher never throws him another strike. Guys like him have virtually destroyed the game...and what it used to mean.

That would be hilarious if opposing pitchers conspired to walk him every at bat all year, no matter the score or situation....

I have no problem putting him on base every time, however I'd suggest another method. Ol' Mr. Rawlings squarely between the 2 and 5 on his back.

That would have been Bill Scheft on the Bob and Tom Show:

"Who would have guessed Barry Bonds was taking steroids. Just because they turned his batting helmet into a jacuzzi."

I just said "don't throw him another strike"...it's up to the pitcher on where and how he misses the zone....

While yesterdays booing of Bonds was nice. I feel thge silent treatment would have a bigger affect on him. Because after all, it all about Barry, just ask him.

If he walked up to the plate and not one cheer, no boo's, nothing but dead silence, he would not know how to react

How about silence and everyone turns away from the field??

As much as I despise Bonds and what I believe to be his rampant steroid use how can the commisioner possibly be talking about a suspension???? Without MLB doing their own investigation this to me is dangerous territory. In order for one to be suspended for steriod use he must first fail a drug test... he hasn't. I understand that the commisioner has the authority to suspend anyone if he feels it's in the games best interest (correct me if I'm wrong) but what about the likes of Sosa and others???? Again I despise Bonds and what he has done to the sport but if you suspend him now without a failed test people will start to look at him as a "victim" and that's exactly what Bond's wants.

Barry's "friend" illegally bought roids from AIDS patients getting them legally. In most states the use of many of these items by humans are completely against the law. Therefore, Commissioner P u s s y could very easily suspend him for violation of the law, not baseball rules.
