James Taylor "One Man Band"

Post by conched »

I was just looking at James Taylor's tour schedule and see he is doing his shows without the band.

Any thoughts? Seems like he is doing a lot of shows for this time of the year already. Maybe the band shows will be added for later in the summer.

It's listed at the bottom of the one man band tour dates.

Seen him with the band many times, I'd like to see him solo, but nothing up my way yet for solo shows.

My parents just saw him perform the other night in Charleston. They said it was a great solo show. There was another performer on stage with him. I think they said it was his piano player. My folks also said that he didn't play alot of old material (i.e. Handy Man was left out) -- but he did play alot of new material from an upcoming album.
Sunset Beach is my Margaritaville. Where there is endless beach, no time, and sunshine that seems to last forever. I know that Someday I Will.....Someday.

Yeah I believe its just JT with Larry Goldings on piano/keyboards for the solo shows. I bet it would be a great show, although you can't go wrong with a full-band show either. It looks like he might be saving the full-band for some summer shows.
