I was there. You don't have to pay to get to the parking lot. It's a casino - they'll make their money other ways. They did have a separate parking lot just for eeryone who wanted to tailgate so it was kinda fun. It actually was a fun parking lot. Not crazy and out of control like GW, but definitely a fun crowd. Seemed to be a little bit of an older crowd, but those who were there were all about having a good time!!!! I can't wait to do it again!
Mohegan was also the first day I met BNers.... TTom, Zuke, Zuke's wife, and tons more!

I was hitting the refresh button at 1 minute till and it locked me out saying I refreshed to many time and it was a security feature to avoid automated ticket purchses. I closed out relogged in and thaks to somany big shows going on sale at the same time I got in sec 118 at Moegan Sun $251 a ticket is hard but I haven't missed seeing Jimmy at least once a season since 1989 or 90

I went to Mohegan last year and had a great time, a super small venue, and a managable parking lot
I hope Mohegan has a section roepd off just for the Buffett crowd again, and they should have even mroe bathroom with the price tag on the tickets!
Im sitting in section 26 row P... how bout you?!

I'm in. I broke down and got a pair of seats at the $176 level and have section 27. I was at Mohegan last year and that was my first Buffett concert, and now I am addicted. Long time Buffett fan but after seeing him live in person.....wow, why did I take this long to see him live. Cya in June, bright and early in the parking lot.

I can't believe the Sun's Hotel is sold out for the 29th already....I know it's crazy expensive but I was willing to splurge one night.
Any ideas on where to stay locally? I think there are some hotels with a shuttle service to the Sun, a short Cab ride is ok too. One thing for sure, we won't be driving after this one. I did that last year when I did a solo show run and slept in the car for a while

NOT happening again.

Try the Microtel hotel which is about a mile down the road from MS. We stayed there last year and it was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but I believe you can get a room for about $80.

Met a few other parrotheads there before the show. After the show it was quiet, which afforded us a chance to get some sleep. Tailgating all day and the concert that night takes a lot out of this old body
We thought the place was great. Quiet, clean, comfortable. When we left the parking lot at MS after the show we exited out the back, sort of, and drove about 1.5 miles and we were back at the hotel. Another choice would be the Best Western which is even closer to MS. A bit more expensive but I think that is where a lot people stayed too.
