I was just at the Jolly Beach Resort in Antigua in October. We rode by the Sandals resort in a boat on our way to go snorkel. From what others were saying, the water by that resort is full of jellyfish. I didn't really hear much about the resort itself or the activities other than they were standard... nothing special, yet nothing negative. The biggest issue on the whole island are the sand fleas/mites/bugs... whatever in the hell they are, they bite, the bites itch like hell and they leave marks. Your buddy should look into taking lots of bug repellant and calamine lotion! My legs didn't stop itching until about 2 weeks after the trip.

They're called no-see-ums, and yes, when you get bit by one, it itches like crazy !!
