hey..we've all said we just want Jimmy and his guitar!
A LOT of people have said they just want to see Jimmy and his guitar.
I WASN'T one of them.

This just SUCKS!!! It was the perfect line up as far as I'm concerned. Hell, I can't even listen to his C.D.s anymore without some sadness. TERRIBLE move, I.M.O.

Well, I don't feel THAT strongly about the horns, I don't see him getting rid of the Reeferettes so quickly...I've recently thought that they are carrying some of the range that he may be losing.

But what the heck do I know?

Sure, people are entitled to their opinions and perspectives, but it's posts like this, Wino, that are at the very least, waaaay over the line. :x :x

I didn't even take his remarks to be way over the line...just his opinion. I, too, will miss the bigger productions that included the horns, but it seems to me to be a natural transition period for an artist who may be scaling down prior to retirement.

Who knows, maybe he's quietly going back to just "Six String Music"

Given that it looks like Jimmy is scaling back, this unfortunately makes sense.....

I wouldn't be surprised to see the dancers go if the production is being scaled down. But I think Jimmy benefits from the back-up vocals.

I'll miss the horns, too, but a little respect shouldn't be too much to ask for.

And this lyric keeps popping into my head...

"They are timeless and predictable unlike most things that I do"

I agree, I still think he needs the girls for certain vocal ranges that he's no longer comfortable with. But that could be the cynic in me. He has plenty of songs to keep me entertained. But I only want to pay the top dollar (which is topper dollar than most artists are asking) for the full monty.

And the change I kept hoping for was dropping WDWGDAS from the setlist :::SIGH:::
