I'm not going to let this ruin my day, it's beautiful out, sun is shining and fairly warm 60, think I'll go for a walk on the beach with the kids
I know between now and July I'll be able to pick up tix on the exchange and if not I'll bite the bullet and pay the scumbags on ebay. Anyways all have a great day

I had section 300 tickets, went to click on continue, then lost them.
Then went back, now I have "null" in the section part.
Row 8. There is no row 8.
But I have a confirmation number. WTF ????

The reason people have to deal with scumbags is because so many are willing to deal with them. Let the scumbags get seriously hurt in the pocket over this and see what happens.
I won't deal with scalpers. I also won't pay the Highly overated and inflated price for the seats from Ticketbastards or anywhere else.
I remember people saying when, JB went over this er hmmmm "system" how much better it was going to be. Yeah Right.
I never had trouble before and I never had a long wait in line either and managed to score tickets on 3rd row floor at most reasonable price. Since this er hmmm "system" came about I have only had troubles.

ticketmaster
hi all. I am happy to say that I got Pavillion at Nissan in Section 101. I was the first in line at HECHTS and they didn't have a lottery. My wife was on the computer and got section 202 even after she misspelled the word once, who knows.
I will tell you this. If you got through and got to the buying phase, then got kicked out, DON'T GIVE UP!!!
THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME LAST YEAR WHERE I GOT TICKETS ONLINE AND RIGHT WHEN I GOT THROUGH ALL THE STEPS AND HIT "COMPLETE PURCHASE" IT SAID SOMETHING LIKE ERROR PROCESSING ORDER AND THEN "PAGE CANNOT BE FOUND".
I was furious. However, later that evening, ticketmaster actually called me and asked if I still wanted the tickets because they were actually in their system as being held for me. they get the error reports, and a bunch of people were still given tickets. don't worry. if you are registered in ticketmaster, chance are good you may get a call if your order didn't complete.
keep hope alive.

I had tickets and then it asked me for my password, even though I was already logged in. Then I got an error and it kicked me backed to the first page. But I hit the back button and the screen was there to confirm my order. I've received a confirmation email from TM, so I must be okay.
But the more I think about it, with price of tickets, if I don't get any, it's not a big deal as long as I get my money back.

none of these shows sell out in 2,3 or 5 minutes as many ar claiming. I say this every year. Just because when you get thru and your order can't be filled doesn't mean the show is sold out. YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT. I can't tell you the number of times I got my tickets for GW a good 20 minutes have they went on sale and after receiving the the dreaded "no seats available". Once again today I received the "no seats available at least 15 times before I scored my ticket for GW at approx. 10:19 today. PATIENCE IS THE KEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

at these prices I would have to say MONEY is the key...and perhaps a small thermonuclear device ( something in the sub kiloton range perhaps) for Ticketbastards.

I tried to pick up 2 tix for Charlotte this morning. Had 2 8th row seats brought back, elected to purchase them, but it told me I had taken too long and that the tickets had been released. The thing is, I replied within under a minute (I was getting my CC out).
So I search again and it brings back 2 seats in the center, about row 40. I respond within 15 seconds indicating I want to buy the tickets. Again, it tells me that I took too long!
I search a third time and end up with NOTHING.
I HATE TICKETMASTER!!!!!!!

I, too, had six lawns seats for Camden. Got to the last screen and got kicked off by an error. I called my ATM's 1-800 number and my card was never charged. The same thing happened a few years ago with tickets and I eventually was charged even though I never received a confirmation #. My wife did call TM this afternoon and they told her that if you got kicked off, no tickets. Just something to keep in mind...
BTW, Ticketmaster still sucks and they need to change their system. To me, if you have tickets in your "cart", and you are logged in, checking out should be nothing more than a formality.

Sadly, this will never happen... its part of the problem that multiple people can access the queue at the same time... so your tickets are probably being purchased by more than one person (kind of like a kicking and dragging fight at the ticket window unfortunately....)CoalCrackerParrothead wrote:I, too, had six lawns seats for Camden. IMHO the reason ticket prices have gone up is because some performers have realized that scalpers are purchasing the tickets for resale at profit, meaning that if they were too cheap there would be none available for the general public, and the public would STILL have to pay the inflated prices.
Because ticket brokers(scalpers) are in this for profit, they actually can hire out temps to man the computers and log into the ticketmaster systems at the very instant the tickets go on sale. They will probably be using some software that bypasses the normal sign in process to immediately log into the system (the only reason temps are required is BECAUSE of that password protection, so it does SOME good.)
The only way really to get rid of this scourge is to make it illegal to sell tickets for more than their face value AND ENFORCE this rule! (Of course that will NEVER happen

Simple way around it...is don't deal with any of this bastards until the day of the concert. Let everyone pay through the nose. Go tailgating and show no interests of going inside to see the show. The scalpers will either take some money or no money at all.Glorfindel7 wrote:Sadly, this will never happen... its part of the problem that multiple people can access the queue at the same time... so your tickets are probably being purchased by more than one person (kind of like a kicking and dragging fight at the ticket window unfortunately....)CoalCrackerParrothead wrote:I, too, had six lawns seats for Camden. Scalping is AGAINST THE LAW in SOME STATES. Not All. Sorry I don't buy your reason for the inflation price of the tickets....if anything it increases scalpers . They know and are in buisness simply because oof supply and demand. No one deals with them they lose money and turn to other sources.
Some people are proud to deal with scalpers and they should be ashamed.
They ruin it for everyone else. So let those individuals deal with the leeches.
Believe it or not it really is that simple. Obviously some of the law makers in some states, have no problems with scalpers for a reason......GEE could that have anything to do with certain friends or loyalties in some venues and/or donations from certain venues or anything like that for not passing anti scalping laws?
A story I once heard was about someone bought a ticket from a scalper the cops watched the transaction go down and did nothing. The guy quickly found out the ticket was bogus, then went to the cops and complained....and wondered why they did not tell him the guy was sellling bogus tickets. You pays de money and you takes de chances. Screw Ticketbastards and the rest of the scalpers.(Both lawful and unlawful.)

This is the first time I've tried to get them online. Usually, I just s*** it up and buy on eBay. But I was home and, somehow, I got them. I spent several minutes sweating while the screen refreshed, though.
I think my 50 WPM typing skills may have saved me. I'm gonna give my mother a hug for making me take that stupid typing class in high school.
How do the scalpers manage to snap up the tickets so quickly? Do they have a whole team of people operating on different IP addresses? By the time I'd completed one order, they were sold out.

That's what I can't stand about ebay. You'll read below the description for a pair of seats, "It is unlawful for the resale of tickets in this state above face value. Your bid may not exceed $1,000." The makes the ol' blood boil. I just read an auction today that said the auction may not exceed $1100 for a pair of tickets.Glorfindel7 wrote:The only way really to get rid of this scourge is to make it illegal to sell tickets for more than their face value AND ENFORCE this rule!
