We are staying at Normandy Farms campground a few miles away from GW Fri and Sat night. Anyone else? We slacked way too long to score a hotel room! :D

Where is this? Don't remember Normandy Farms Campground. Is it in Norton?
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

It's in Foxboro, so it's pretty close. They are pretty full, we are staying in their overflow area which I'm sure is full of people like us! Check out www.normandyfarms.com

Red Roof Inn - usually a nice tailgate party there the night before.

Hotels for Great Woods show 8/10

Post by mochigirl »

:wench:
Hi! Newbie to BN, but fan of JB for a while.
New member of PHIP as well.

I booked a hotel room at the Comfort Inn in Foxboro, but ended up changing it to the Econo Lodge in Sharon, MA - which is not that far from Tweeter.
The last time I checked, there were still rooms left at the Econo Lodge. The webpage for the Econo looks ok - should be ok for stumbling to bed after the show...
and there is a pool - how sanitary the pool/hotel is, I have no clue.

Just thought I would give you a heads up (or Phins Up) to let you know of a possible lodging option.

Can't wait til the 10th!

Hoping that Bill Payne from Little Feat plays with JB at the Tweeter show, (missed him at the Mohegan and Jones Beach ones)
Hoping for a tropical Dixie Chicken!
Nothin' left to do but smile, smile, smile!

Is that on Route 1? I know the back way to get to Great Woods from there.

  • It is on Providence Hwy? Not sure if that is the same thing as Route 1.
Down my way, Route 1 probably has 3 different names... Post Road, Old Post Road, Franklin St...... etc tee hee

It is supposed to be 15 minutes via mapquest from Tweeter...
As of this morning, they still have rooms....

We're staying there too. Had friends that stayed last year and they said it was very nice. Seems to be family friendly and should have some activities to keep the keet busy. We'll keep an eye out for you
