Waves at someone mentioning home. (I still miss those islands since I've moved to NC. I grew up on Catawba.)
Listening to Buffett while overlooking Lake Erie on an Island. It is going to be an awesome evening.
Oh stop! You are making me homesick! I haven't been home in two years. I remember when I was younger.....13 or so.....before they cracked down on the partying at the municipal docks.....my parents and their friends dancing down the dock. Bikinis worn combat/work boots always seemed to be the order of the night. I STILL have no idea what that was about.
PIB has grown up a lot since those days. Some good....some times I wish for the old ways. (Wow....sounds like those letters in the Key West paper we were talking about the other day.)
Speaking of Key West, did you make it down for the PIB Days in February? We thought about going...but work flared up and well....you know how that goes. Maybe next year!

How can you possibly have any fun in the lot if you still don't have a ticket 10 minutes before the show???
I would be a nervous mess!
I don't know if I'll have any fun in the parking lot or not, but at this point it seems that I'll be trying this suggestion out in June. The Mrs. isn't keen on paying what it would take to get tickets from "other channels", but has agreed to head to Atlanta for the weekend praying tickets will appear.
I also suggested to her that we could throw a party and BBQ that night as another option. But, since she's willing to try scoring tickets in the parking lot, we'll probably go that route instead. If we can't, then I sure we can pick up some Braves tickets instead.

that sounds like a great tradeoff... on the bright side, if you stick around for a full Atlanta game, you don't have near the crush getting out of the parking lot you have at a Buffett concert.

Well, I sure wouldn't call it a "great" tradeoff, but it would be something to do to occupy the time and would be a whole lot better than being a work!

LOL! Didn't we all. I look back on that and can't believe the freedom I had. Riding my 10-speed around DeRivera Park at 1am! Drinking my first beer with my parents (underage of course, but like most girls I didn't look it and the drinking age was 18 back in the dark ages) at Frosty's.
Yes, they did clamp down hard, and at least my parents group stopped going pretty much after that. My mom's neighbors are regulars over on Kelleys now though. (Had my first Brandy Alexander at The Pump...no idea that that place is called now.)
I grew up on the east side of Catawba. My family owned one of the first marinas, if not the first, I forget now...I think Skyline campground had docks) built in the late 50s...when the island was nothing but grapes and peaches. Yes, you can blame my great-grandfather for starting the tourist trade there! LOL!

I think the Pump is still the Pump (at least that is what we still call it). The new hot spot there is West Bay. We like West Bay because you dock right across the street and can stay overnight for free! They have great food and entertainment. A lot of people from our marina go there. My parents take my 5 year old to PIB for week/weekend trips throughout the summer, so he is learning at an early age, too!

It seems that im onboard for the PATEOMR Tour.
For the $500 the wife and i would spend just on tickets we can have one kickin Bash at home. Invite a bunch of friends, have food, beer, Sirius, and a good time.
Our local show at Mohegan is just too pricey at $250 a pop. Im not complaining but just lookin at the bigger picture.
We might even wind up spending alot less too

Far less than a Buffett ticket, unless you are doing lawn seats. . . oh wait, I forgot Ticketbastard's charges. . . cheaper than a Buffett ticket.

I always throw little "Buffett Parties" during concerts I can't go to that year.

I got my Sirius radio, the grill going while laying on a raft in the pool, and watching the sun set...get chills just thinking about it
Gonna be another great concert season!!!!
Sorry things didnt work out for you to come to Pittsburgh Demerara, it would have been great to meet you!!

Sounds great, Zanzibar. I don't have a pool, but I've got the grill and I'll have Radio Margaritaville blasting through the patio speakers! :
(And maybe we've already met - I was at PNC last year, and PGP the year before!)

That's why I'll be at Charlotte with friends and a positive attitude!
Even if I don't get tickets....what are the chances of me NOT having a good time.3 days before my birthday too!
