Yes, their the ones. However, I don't know that ignoring them would actually work. Phelps has shown over the years that when he doesn't get the attention he thinks he deserves he just escalates to the next level. I could see him eventually engaging in domestic terrorism and people being physically harmed.
Sigh....it's a fine line between free speech and dealing with jerks like this.

I have been thinking about this situation for a while. They threatened to demonstrate at a funeral at Ft. Campbell not too long ago. I thought that their very act of demonstration actually honors the fallen serviceman/woman, because their right is protected by those men and women and the hundreds of thousands of men and women who gave their lives to uphold the Constitution. So the act of demonstration honors the fallen soldier. That being said these people are going to have a big surprise when they meet their Maker.

With regards to the church and protesting a soldier who died for his country. My father is a Korean War Vet. He always told us kids that he had a job to do. He was one of the lucky ones to survive. The true hero is those who didn't survive. Then he would repeat the saying. "All gave some but some gave all." As a kid I really didn't understand this that much but now as an adult. I agree. Any soldier or sailor who has given the ultimate deserves nothing less than a hero status.

In theory, I can see what you are saying, Brad. But I'm sorry, this in no way honors anyone:

Just one "runaway" truck would take care of a very large part of this problem. And no jury, around here anyway, would convict the poor diver who lost his brakes.
These "Christian" folks are so upset by gay people in the military they are
happy when troops are killed?
Not quite. They are saying that god is killing our troops because they are fighting for a nation that supports homosexuality. They also claim that most natural disasters that befall the US happen for the same reason.
I thought that natural disasters happened to rid us of Trailer parks.....
Frankster, I bet you, Tomm, and I could take care of this little situation fairly quickly. Do you think a jury would convict us because our guns went off on accident?
Here's a flyer distributed by the WBC regarding the funeral of a soldier in my area. Unfortunately, the family of the soldier requested that the Patriot Riders not attend the services.

No jury in your area or mine...not sure about Mass, though.

Sorry Wayneo. I only wanted people along whom I could outshoot.

If you did get arrested, I would be HAPPY to write your bond.....I may even have a few get out of jail free cards laying around.

I've looked at this thread several times and I've just been to stunned and angry to respond. It is positively repulsive that people can spew this kind of filth in the name of God.
I come from a long line of military folks......and it makes me sad that my Dad gave his youth, his innocence, for people like this......well, he did it for people like US, but those bastards benefit, too. I guess that's what makes America great, huh
