Tinley Park, Illinois - Venue Question

Post by Catch&Release »

Somehow I got 2 tix in sec 201, row FF

it looks like these are uncovered pavillion seats from the ticketmaster description.

Also looks like a pretty large venue.

Is there a lawn at Tinley Park? Doesn't look like it from the venue map.

How bad are my seats.

I guess I should be happy. I was completely shut out fot Boston, Atlanta, Indianapolis. Also looks like Tinley Park sold out in 3 mins or less.

Whew....Ticketmaster is awful!
I don't want to live on that kind of island
No, I don't want to swim in a roped off sea.

There is a very large lawn at Tinley.

Sounds like your seats are way off on one side, but with the screens you should be fine.

But you will be part of the party!!!

You should be good, the pavilion is covered and there is a lawn section. Be happy you did get a hold of some!!

No matter what it is guaranteed to be a good time!!!

If you're way off to one side, you don't have the best view, but you'll be able to hear fine, and you'll be the closest to the beer lines!

I got lawn seats for tinley..should be a good time. I bought them through a broker so I paid more, but its our first time and I needed to by 13 tickets, so I was kind of screwed for volunteering to plan the trip. We will be there with bells on regardless.

Tinley Parks venue holds around 40,000 for most shows, though they can sell more and jam pack the place and get over 50,000 in for it.

All of the pavillion is covered so you should be fine if it starts to rain like it has in the past on Saturdays in Tinley

That was a great time - not nearly as cold as the post Sept. 11 show at Tinley, but the torrential downpour gave that show it's own special flair...

Hell I remember goin back there in the early 90s, and thinking 4.50 was a lot of money for a single beer.

Depends on the show--- I think 2 years ago for Buffett it was like 8 or 9. But the week before that at Ozzfest it was like 7

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the optional restroom facilities located at the top of the lawn, AKA the chain link fence...

That is a given at any outdoor venue.

But the area at the top of the fence also serves more purposes too.

I just always felt bad for the 4 or 5 theater employees who they station at the top of the lawn who spend 5 hours preventing people from urinating through the fence. I had some crappy summer jobs, but wow...
