Update on The Boat Drunks new CD, Wahine Man: Mastering is complete and the cd is being pressed as we speak. Look for it very soon at www.boatdrunks.com or at any of our shows! In the meantime, go to the site to hear clips of some of the new material. Enjoy!

Thanks for the heads-up! We're really looking forward to it,
(even though we feel remaking Hollow Man is a crime. )

One of the ultimate audience participation songs...that was the Eastern Illinois Parrot Head Club performing at MOTM 2005 in the water at The Reach! Come on out and join us this year back at the Casa when The Boat Drunks play on Saturday nite!

I was actually referring to the same group, different venue...
the Margaritaville Cafe at MotM the night we insisted they
quit with the Buffett covers and do their own stuff. 8)
(BTW, I can't jump like that, but I faked it!   )

This weekend was extra-special, and, for me, WAY past due.
I just got back from Bloomington a few hours ago, and haven't felt this good in a LONG time.
It was all due to the DYNAMITE preformance of the Boat Drunks, AND Amy Lee, AND Doyle Grisham.
They preformed all of the songs from their new album "WAHINE MAN," (just released a few days ago) plus a few from their first C.D. (This Ain't Duval Street), plus lots of Jimmy Buffett songs.
Amy and Doyle were gracious beyond belief. (I even got to have "breakfast" at Dennys after the preformance with Doyle & his lovely wife).
There was probably about 1000 people at that venue (Sail Barn in Bloomington), the weather was perfect, the band was absolutely fantastic, and Amy and Doyle did what Amy and Doyle do best-make great music, chatted with all their fans, and were as friendly and outgoing with the crowd as anyone I've ever seen. Rumors are rampant that they'll be preforming in Champaign with Bill Payne next month. If so, I am as good as there.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting the new Boat Drunks C.D. (and the first one if you don't have it). It's on their web site, www.boatdrunks.com
Thank you so much to the Boat Drunks-
Mike
Jake
Andy
Howie
Larry
Thanks to Carlotta and Debbie,
Thanks to Pete, Jim & Christi B., and all the fantastic people of the Central Illinois Parrothead Club,
Thanks to Nick for being such a good sport about shuttling us back and forth from the hotel
Thanks to David & Teresa for the ride from Iowa
And a very special thank you to Doyle & Amy for being Doyle & Amy and for being THERE. You two are DYNAMITE!!!

And, of course, I do need to thank my very special "room mate" for letting me be me.
GREAT WEEKEND-I wish everyone here could've been there.
