For the longest time, it seemed like a waste of money. After less than a day, it was the best money I was spending. I can't imagine life without Sirius.
That is exactly what I was going to say, and it's just icing on the cake that Radio Margaritaville and Howard Stern is on there (if you like H.S.).
I can’t believe what’s going on with the stock. I never thought it would be this low. I'm out once I break even.

there are s50 receivers on eBay for about $150, and those let you put mp3s into the mix too for the times when you are wanting something different in the form of ear-worms.
As far as the S50, it won't let you listen to "Live" Sirius. If you are looking at portable Sirius, wait until the summer, there will be the offering for a portable that will be able to pull the live satellite feed. That's all but been officially announced by Sirius.
Not sure I follow you. It doesn't take satellite feed at all?
it will play/record live sat feeds if it is pluged into a dock (car or Home). You can also load mp3's into it and use it a a portable player. No portable and live just yet.

XM has BASEBALL---ALL THE GAMES, NASCAR, and NHL
Tons of Uncensored comedy, and a lot of Uncensored music that I enjoy--so im happy with XM and will continue to have it til it folds.
ya, ya
But you can't get RM on XM
I have XM as well and my decision to go with them over Sirius wasn't based on just one channel. I think both services have a lot to offer but I'm definitely not happy about Clear Channel's involvement with XM. Fortunately, the music channels they've recently added commercial to didn't affect my listening habits and hopefully they never will.

Unless you are "docked", you do not get a live satellite feed. Think of it as an ipod/podcast for Sirius. You pre-record the feed, then when you take it with you, you can listen to the pre-recorded material. The S50 is an expensive MP3 player, not worth the money. If you are going to keep it docked all the time, just get a replay or a starmate.
This summer, Sirius will be releasing a true portable type of reciever, likely with the antenna built into the headphones.

I'm confused. Sirius also has Nascar and NHL + EXCLUSIVE NFL. I thought XM only had exclusive rights to MLB.
Also, Sirius has censored and uncensored comedy, so I don't see that as a selling point for XM.
What are XM's BIG selling points? Product variety?

I have no idea about the sports and comedy, I didn't get XM for the talk oriented channels, I got it for the music. I do know there's an uncensored comedy channel and most of their music channels (at least the ones I listen to) are also uncensored. I have no idea what the big selling point for either service is because they both offer a lot of variety. I read a few articles about both XM and Sirius and decided to go with XM but I could have gone with either one. Bottom line is, I ended up going with XM and I've been very happy with it ever since. As I said, I'm less than happy about the Clear Channel thing but there's no way I could have known anything about that at the time I first subscribed. I've got far too much invested in it to get out now.

ok. many of the packages I saw on eBay had the docking stations, included, especially for the car.. Was thinking that would come in handy for things like the "Party on Hoot Island"

I'm only interested in the music. NFL doesn't matter one bit to me - I live in WI and can get every Packer game on the radio - I don't want to listen to any other teams. I could listen to the Cubs on XM but I don't need to since I can get them over the air as well. The local sports station has NASCAR if I was bored enough to listen to that and even though I'm a huge hockey fan, I have no desire to listen to an NHL game.
As for O&A vs. Stern - who cares. Both shows are pretty lame to me and not my thing. The main point for me is cost. I get XM for $6.99/month - always have and I got one for my in-laws and they pay the same (not on the family plan - both are regular rates.)
So the so called selling points of either one are not a selling point to me. I have it for music and XM does that just fine for me.
We have XM for the baseball games this summer. If anyone want to try out an XM subscription, PM me and I will out you on our account for $6.99 a month. But I want to buy a SIRIUS for JB's concerts and the NFL. Anyone willing or have room for us to be on your account for $6.99 a month or does Sirius have that for the additional radios?
