Is anyone else out there looking forward to Chicago XXX coming out next Tuesday? I am looking forward to it... I hope they go back to their earlier style rather than their ballady sound of the 80s. Either way I'm gonna be picking it up.

I cannot put this album down!!! It is definately one of my favorite new albums of the year. While it is not the same Chicago of almost 40 years ago, the album itself is totally amazing. Probably their best all around effort since the early-70s. The new single Feel and the song Long Lost Friend are amazing... I can't stop listening to them. Has anyone else bought this album?

So, you said that you didn't want the 80's ballads but you like it anyways? The first six tunes on this CD are ballads....over-produced, formulaic, cliche ballads.
I could see liking the latter half of the CD with the Bill Champlin and Robert Lamm uptempo tunes but the first half nearly put me to sleep. If you liked Chicago 18,19 and 21 you'll like the ballads.
If you liked the "real" Chicago, you'll like the latter half....something for everybody.
