He was standing on the line when he went out of bounds....

They have to punt no they opt to punt the rules allow for more than one option

He has to sit down with (fill in blank) many fouls

see above.. The coach opts to pull him from the game for now.

Heard about 100 times this weekend already:

"One minute left, they'll be forced to foul."

How about just playing good D and stealing the ball? Causing a turnover? Rebounding a missed shot? Realizing the game is over and letting time run out?
