I just read a popular St. Barts forum with the following post dated March 20, 2006:
Yes, he's a huge star with half the money in the world. Yes he's got as many fans as practically any musician you can name. He's even written numerous books. But the thing that sticks with me, even more so due to the above attributes, is his graciousness on the island of St. Barthélemy. Last night after his dinner with family and friends, he agreed to play three songs for the assembled group at La Plage. My favorite was "Autour du Rocher." For once the word was not out on the island, so for once, J.B. wasn't even playing to a packed house. He was playing with a borrowed guitar and a couple of musicians he didn't know, but the sound quality was still clear and great. I loved his introduction as he was trying to get the feel of the borrowed guitar:
"I don't know these guys, and they don't know me or what I'm going to play, but no body's getting paid here, so what the hell, let's go."
HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE TO HAVE JIMMY SING A FEW SONGS WHILE DINING ON VACATION!!
Do you know where Jimmy is?

Re: Do you know where Jimmy is?
if you think that is cool.. imagine him elbowing his way onstage past a knobby-kneed, longhaired guitarist and putting on a 2 hour show seaside...caribcarol wrote:I just read a popular St. Barts forum with the following post dated March 20, 2006:
