When he passed, the Cardinals were just another business unit of the brewery. Augie III would put in an appearance on opening day and disappear during the seventh inning stretch.

At least they sold the team to some Cardinal fans!!

I DO remember him not wanting to go to Los Angeles, and, therefore, retired after their last year in Brooklyn.

Definitely think the Bears/Packers rivalry is the greatest.

But I also love the Cubbies/Cards, and, in college football you can't beat Ohio State/Michigan-the natural rivalries usually end the season in college football so the game often means something big for one or both of those teams, and it is often an upset.

Beers on TR! Sounds like a great night talking baseball, telling stories, etc. Great job with the trivia. Used to live in LA and had worked for a company that had season Dodger tickets. Funniest rivalry was the Cubs fans. LA had no catagory for the loud geering and betting on every pitch. The only fight I EVER saw was Dodger vs. Giants. Thank God for baseball!!
