There very well could be. They could have laid down additional tracks after TB was finished. Perhaps Buster Somar strikes again! :o

Reportedly, the harp player on the Hoot soundtrack is Tom Ball:
It's not hard to see why Tom has been on the cover of both American Harmonica Newsmagazine and Harmonica World, or why Blues Revue called his playing "stupendous." Meanwhile he has carved out a secondary career as a solo guitarist and "kills time" writing both music books and fiction. His most recent studio project has been playing harp on the soundtrack to the film "Hoot," which features Jimmy Buffett, Alan Jackson, Jack Johnson and others.

I dropped Tom Ball an email to see what I might learn...this is what he had to say:

"There's no harp on the actual songs Jimmy sings, but there's plenty of it during the incidental music with the CRB. (And I play for about 20 seconds on the last song on the upcoming soundtrack CD -- an instrumental with Sonny Landreth and the CRB.) It was a ton o' fun working with those guys, and from what I've heard of it, the soundtrack should be pretty friggin great! :)
I exchanged a couple more emails with Tom Ball...this clarifies his previous comment:

"I could have made myself a bit clearer... what I probably should have said is: yep, I played harp on the Hoot score, but not on the songs. (i.e. I'm on a bunch of cues and short pieces of score music, which was recorded in L.A. by the CRB, myself, and a few other folks.)

For all I know there could indeed be harp on some of the songs -- I never actually heard those tracks. But if so, somebody else was the lucky harpman. I wasn't fortunate enough to play on any actual song other than "Happy Ending" with the CRB and Sonny Landreth -- which was a joy.

It surely was an honor for me, and a fun couple of sessions to boot.

cheers and all best,
Tom

I haven't read all four pages of posts but I hope someone mentioned Kaare Wieneke from Captain Quint. He's as close to Fingers as it gets.

Excellent choice!! I could totally see this happening.

Is Buzz back with Johnny in the mornings now that Johnnys back?
Hi Minty! :D

Sadly, no. Buzz is still with Steve Dahl as far as I know.

The rumors going around about Greg "Fingers" Taylor appearing on the new reggae version of "Floridays" are true!! BuffettNews.com has confirmed from a reliable source that it is "Fingers" on harmonica.
Well...if Jimmy was to add a harmonica player, I wouldn't complain about it being "Fingers"!

It would be just too cool if Fingers plays in this years tour. :o :D
