If Jimmy added a Harmonica player...

If Jimmy added a Harmonica player, who would it be?
My first thought and choice would be
"Jumpin" Johnny Sansone.
So, not knowing what Jumpin' Johnny has been up to lately, I browse his scheduled gigs and perhaps just coincidentally he has no gigs listed that conflict with Jimmy's tour.
IMHO, Johnny Sansone would be an awesome addition!

I'd really like to hear the harmonica in the show again, no matter who it is playing.

Seemingly out of respect for "Fingers" and despite whatever their differences may have been, Buffett never added another harmonica player after his departure (other than the few shows Clint Black sat in on) so I'm wondering what makes folks think he's going to add a harmonica player back into the mix at this point? Not that he won't, it's entirely possible he will but does the departure of two of the horn players somehow signal a return of the harmonica?
If so, my picks would be:
Norton Buffalo
"Magic Dick" (from the J. Geils Band)

I suppose the question is coming up because the departure of the horns leaves room in the "sound" for the harmonica, whether or not Jimmy chooses to use one. (Personally, I don't see him doing that right now, but one never knows!)

I agree with SGH. I'd recommend one but don't know any by name to list, but someone should do it.

If a harmonica player is added to the Reefers I certainly hope he will do better than to select someone from one of the many Buffett imitator bands out there.

What about BN's former harpchick? Whatever happened to her?

Norton Buffalo is another good choice...although, I have never seen him perform live yet.

There are some outrageously talented blues harmonica players out there.
Our local blues society recently sponsored a show by Mark Hummel and the Blues Survivors. Mark is an incredible harp player!

Why? Being in a Buffett tribute band shouldn't make anyone a better or worse candidate. I'm thinking how well they play the harmonica would be the key.....

I agree about ability but being in a band that imitates Buffett is usually a good sign that there's very little in the way of originality there. At least that's been my experience with the majority of those type of artists. Please notice I said "majority", not
all.
