Fenway Park Question

Post by parrothead597 »

This summer, my girlfriend wants me to take her to see Dave Matthews in Fenway Park. I know Buffett played there in 2004 (listening to the cd now). Does anyone have any recomendation for seat location in that stadium?? I can't seem to find a stadium diagram for a concert. Any help for a fellow Parrothead would be greatly appreciated.

If You go to the ticketbaster web site, For info put fenway park. There You will be asked for a seating plan. It will have Buffett concert seating. This will give You some idea of seating at fenway. I hope that this helps. :D[/img]

As close as possible. Most seats will not have good sound or sight lines. Go just to say you were there.

Try to avoid reserved grandstand seats under the roof. Great for the Sox games but you hear less of the band and a lot more of the crowd singing along behind you, the band sound doesn't travel up under there very well. I was kind of disappointed. My Sis-in-law said her field seats were great though. Just try to avoid sitting under the roof.

Field seats in the front sections would be best. But the people near the back of the field seats didn't seem like they could see that well. I was in the front of the section by the third base dugout, and could see right over the field seats heads. I definitely agree with staying out from under the roof. My sister sat up there and said the sound stunk.

Outside the park at a bar would be the best seats for that show

Agree with the posts that if not on their field then try to get seats near the field in the grandstand on either base side (ie Field Box,Loge box). I had those for the shows and they were great. Dont get RF GS or anything under the cover of roof seats...

Fenway Park Question

I agree dont go under the roof. I have been to the 3 different shows at fenway. Springsteen was too loud echos bouncing off the monster,Jimmy was ok but have to say for sound quality the Stones were the best .I had seats in the same location for all 3 shows ,next to the visitors dugout .

I went to both Fenway Buffett shows... Friday night I had field seats and thought it was great.. Sunday I was about halfway under the roof on the third base side and the sound s*cked.. Spend the extra money and get field seats.. ALSO I scored my friday night seats a few days before the show on TM so check there often!

Agreed...just go to be there. There ends up being about 1500 good seats, and 30,000+ crappy seats. The place was built for baseball, and actually, not so good for that either. Great fun, great atmosphere, just not "fan friendly" in many ways.
