Each of us has to live with ourselves and why we do what we do. If that band member dislikes Jimmy that much yet stays around for the paycheck and recognition, so be it. Personally, I couldn't do that...especially in an organization that is so clearly led/dominated by that one individual.

If this band member wants to keep their job though, one would think/hope they stay respectful (loyal) enough to keep it. And, I'll bet Jimmy's bright enough to not expect (or want) everyone he employs to love and admire everything he does. It is, afterall, about getting a job done well...but that does include respecting the boss.

Well, the original poster stated/questioned if-

In my opinion, these are not bad qualities at all. These are some of the qualities that make up most people that are very successful. So what's the big deal?

Its not all Palm Trees & paychecks, these are REAL people just like us and a business is being run, for the purpose of making money, nothing more, bottom line. Jimmy was just lucky enough to be able to use this vessel (his passion) to be able to do it with.

So some employees don’t like him...so what...nothing shocking here. Go out and visit any work place and ask 100 employees how they feel about their boss! Ha!

So no need psychoanalyze this anymore really, it’s actually quite typical. Most employees make the mistake of getting angry or bitter because they feel they "can do it better" I wish I had a tenth of a penny for everyone that felt this way. A boss knows this sentiment is out there and rampant at times. It’s expected in the work place. The average boss wont be offended by this, they know that if most, if not all of them, were actually "in the arena" that they are in, that they would be in for quite a rude awakening. It doesn’t mean that the boss should get offended or that some work ethic requires the employee to quit once he reaches a certain point where he disagrees with 51% of the operations path.


Now....writing a book, trashing someone? THAT is evil.
