hippiejen wrote:Okay - I have had it done - I have had about 5 sessions - armpits, bikini, etc - - I have a low tolerance for pain and it hurts like a son of a b****. Anywho . . . it is so worth it - no shaving - awesome!! I will go back and have my legs done.

Everyone is different, but I probably need one or two more sessions to be completley done.

People tell me if you can have a tatoo done - you can handle this. It is like being stung by a bee in every pore of where the hair is being removed. They do let you put on numbing cream before - which works a wonder.

They also do spider veins - zaps those things away - awesome results.

Love it!!
Really????????

So if I wanted no-maintenance hardwood floors, the laser gods could do that in 2-3 sessions??? For reallllll??????

How much? How much? How much? $$$$$$$$$$$$4

I've had 2 kids and 3 tattoos and not so much as batted an eyelash!!
Probably like 4-6 sessions for a complete job

and . . .

You are looking at 40-60 per session - they often give you discounts toward the end - make sure and research for a good licenced person to do it. Ask around, etc.
How long between sessions? That's not really that bad a price considering what razor blades and wax cost these days!!

no, but I recently had my back waxed. I'm not a hairy beast but I had a couple of little patches.
The wife took great pleasure in it

I also take great pleasure in waxing my husbands back, especially on those days he's really ticked me off! :wench:

that's because you heat the wax to almost vapourizing, and then raise 2nd degree burns on Mr. Incredible, isn't it? :D

I'd wax you anytime baby, but if you're doing something that close to my favorite nerve with a laser, I want a licensed professional.

Citcat

I have had electrolysis done on my eyebrows and upper lip. Now that reallllllllly hurts. Cost $25 a session every 4-6 weeks for about a year and a half. (lenght of time would depend on how hairy you are and how dark your hair is). My facial hair is lighter and sparse.

When they zap the brow near the eye you can hear little pops in your head, a plus if you have a headache (it goes away immediately).

Couple things...... if you have mole on your face the Electric current will lighten it so you can't see it anymore. Bad point is as you have it done the hair gets more resistant and they have to turn up the elec current which can cause the pores to enlarge.

The laser sounds like a cheaper and easier method to me.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us Jen.

Those Scandanavian girls... all that time in the snow makes them a little crazy when it melts off. ;)
